My friend and I were scheduled to go to Disneyworld starting on Tuesday. He had to have some spur of the moment dental surgery last week, and he won't be healed up by the time we get there. We aren't the type of people who have to go on thrill rides to have a good time. So, that's not an issue, but we do love our food. And that will be an issue this time. He can only eat soup or other soft foods at this point. We're not beholden to eating in the parks by any means. So, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for soups or other foods that might be suitable for him in this condition in Disneyworld or the surrounding Orlando area. We'll be here for a week. So, the more suggestions, the better.

Thanks so much!

We had the chicken dumpling soup at Art Smith’s and the butternut squash soup from the Mara at AKL … both were excellent!

I have always found the soups at Boma to be very good. It has been a few years. I am sure you could find the rotation of what soups are available on which days.

Any soups at the China pavilion in Epcot.
“ “ “ “ France “ “ “ .
Actually if you go to allears.net you will find all the soups being served thru out the park for your stay. Just insert “soup” in the search box.

Yes Narcoossees bisque is really good!

I had braces on my teeth recently, so I'm familiar with this problem. :( He will probably also be up for smoothies, mashed potatoes, and a few other things. You can ask for overcooked pasta, or overcooked vegetables such as carrots that can be mashed with a fork. He will probably get some sympathy from the kitchen if he asks.

Be sure to bring along snacks like squeeze applesauce packets, and calorie-packed drinks like Ensure.

The Butternut Squash soup at Mara is excellent. It comes from the same kitchen as the soups for Boma, and so it's the same as their butternut squash soup, but it's available every night and daytime.
