Sound the Twilight Bark and Pass the Chocolate Croissants - A London & Paris PTR

I'm here! I can't wait to hear all about it. I am planning to take my boys to England and France when they are a little older.

I'm here! Can't wait to read about it. I would LOVE to do DLRP as part of a Paris visit. How fun!!!

Hi  Cynthia!!! Glad you're here! My DH loves your pic with Minnie in your sig! We might end up doing a Disney cruise to Alaska yet!! We'd been thinking it would be too pricey and we'd go with another line, but....

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!! I am thankful for all of you!

I really want to do an Alaskan cruise too! The bad thing is, is that they sail in the summer, and for us, thats busy season for Skip with farming. But he is starting to like the idea...if only it would be at a different time of year (I can thank all those alaskan shows on TV now....Gold Rush and ice Road Truckers and there is some airline one as well....he's addicted to those shows:lmao:)
I would love to sail DCL as well, but I have actually even priced out Princess as well.

Bonjour Sheree!

Thought I would come out of lurkdom to join you on this fabulous adventure! :goodvibes At the very least I could help you with your French lessons! ;)

Parce que je parle un peux de Francais! Je suis une Canadienne! :banana:Je t'aime mon amie, je t'aime! Tu est tres magnifique! :)

Yippee!!! Hi Kim!! I am honored you came out of lurkdom! It is great to hear from you! I could use your help with French! We did download an app that translates and pronounces it - you can even slow it down to practice!!!
So far we've learned how to ask where the toilet is!!
I'm going to guess that you said something like you know a little french and something about being Canadian. Then something about love and me being magnificent!

In other news, I have begun the Christmas decorating!! We have our Disney room/tree up, and are working on the other stuff and have yet to haul out the artificial tree.
We braved the Mall of America last night and looked at all the things the girls want. They were with us, so we didn't buy anything for them. We'd already picked up a few things. We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. It was good, but I think that place is so pricey!! We spotted a new french bakery and oohed and ahhhed over the $3 chocolate croissants. They were as big as the girls' faces!!

We did end up in the Apple store for about an hour or two. Dave and I are now the proud owners of new iPhone 4S! And the girls have inherited our old phones to use as iPod touches. Sarah had wanted a new iPod touch for christmas, but I was saying no - too much $$$$! We've been asking Siri a bunch of dumb questions. I had to change my name on it because she kept saying SherEE rather than Sherry. I really don't like being called SherEE!

I also was on a hunt for good shoes. I am looking at Clark's and Merrills, but haven't been able to find my size in the ones I want on sale like at DSW. I want something really comfy, not a sneaker (especially not white), and hopefully waterproof. I'm open to suggestions. I hit up DSW and Clarks at MOA, another DSW and a Shuler shoes store here today. The hunt continues!!!

Claire is getting an ipod touch from my 2 Aunts and my Mom for Christmas...she has no idea..she is actually trying to save up for one. She is going to be so excited. Her friend just bought a used one from a cousin and so the talk about it has gone up dramatically.
I bet the girls are loving your old phones...I would've taken it though too. :goodvibes

Yipppeee for Christmas decorating!! I love getting in the holiday spirit!

Yippee and woo hoo for the 4s's!!! Do you love it so far?! Especially now that it's calling you the right name! :lmao: That would annoy me too!

Disney + Christmas = :santa:

I miss the Rainforest that we had at our Opry Mills Mall - the one that got flooded. We could go over there and get a small taste of Disneyness in between trips. The mall is supposed to be opening back up little by little between now and spring, and Rainforest has committed to coming back. :woohoo:

The chocolate croissants at the French bakery - that sounds wonderful!

It's a good thing you said that! Otherwise, if I get to meet up with you in Paris in March, I just might have called you the wrong name. :rolleyes1:blush::guilty::eek:

Hey you did pretty well! I said - "Because I speak a little bit of French. I am a Canadian. I Love you , my friend, I Love you. You are Magnificent"

Although, Parisian French is VERY different than what we speak up here in Canada! Actually Quebecois French is almost a completely different dialect than what is spoken in Europe! :confused3

When the girls are in French class at school and they need to use the washroom they have been taught to ask - "es ce que je peux aller a la salle de bain?" Where is the the washroom is - "Ou est les toilettes"

Here is a list of common phrases you may need

Hello - Bonjour
Goodbye - Au revoir
Yes - Oui (pronounced "we")
No - Non
The girls - Les filles
breakfast - petit dejeuner
lunch - dejeuner
supper - diner

where - ou
what - que
when - quand
what time is it? - quelle heure est-il

I am totally in the holiday spirit now! So far, the phone is pretty cool. The only issue I have is with iCloud - it pulls from four devices and I get duplicates on my calendar that I can't figure out how to get rid of unless I delete them individually. I know there's a way to tell it to not duplicate. There must be!
I know my name looks like it should be pronounced that way, but it's not, so I get annoyed. I try not to let it bug me when people who don't know do that, but if Siri is going to talk to me a lot, she needs to say it right!

oh I hope your Rainforest opens up soon. The company behind Rainforest and T-Rex is a MN guy!
we love chocolate croissants. I told Sarah we will eat them and bread and cheese in France and she said, "is that all we get to eat?" LOL!!!

It's a good thing you said that! Otherwise, if I get to meet up with you in Paris in March, I just might have called you the wrong name. :rolleyes1:blush::guilty::eek:
