Soulmates/Love at First Sight

Do you believe in them/it?
And not just soulmates as in a romantic way, do you believe in "best friend" soulmates, or people who you feel were put in your life by fate and have changed your life significantly?

I read "5 People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom a couple weeks ago and it made me think about this a lot. Awesome book BTW, everyone should read it!

I believe in soulmates in every way, romantic, "companion" soulmates [like the people who change your life].

I believe in Soulmates but not love at first sight. IMO, soulmates are people that, despite their differences, can still love each other just as much. To me, it doesn't mean never fighting, agreeing on everything etc. To me, it means just loving each other no matter what happens. That's a soulmate.

I do feel that you can't love someone just by looking at them. That's just loving them for their looks.

On one hand, I do believe that you can instantly see someone and feel like they're the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with,

But on the other hand, I believe to truly love someone you need to know them inside and out. Know them better than you know yourself. Adore their little quirks & faults.

As for the friend thing, again, I'm not sure. A best friend should be someone you can tell all your secrets to. Someone who will not judge you no matter what. Someone you trust 100%. And you can't really know all that when you first meet someone. There can be a connection where you hit it off right away and start chatting like crazy, but it's different from a real, best friend.

& lastly, for instantly knowing someone you meet is going to change your life, I've already addressed that. I do believe you can see a stranger and just have a gut feeling that they will make a huge impact on your life.

Love is such an abstract thing.

I believe you can have a strong attraction to someone at first sight, but I don't believe you can love someone by first sight of them.

Soulmates I do believe in, but in a different sense. I don't believe in just one person for someone, I believe there are multiple people that are perfect for you. Someone who just is in sync with you 100 percent.

i 100% believe in love at first sight.

people who haven't been in love tell you that it takes a long time adn you have to grow to love someone. and yeah, sometimes thats true. other times though, the first time they touch you, your soul is set on fire and you won't be the same without them.

i have been in love with my boyfriend since the first time i talked to him. it took us awhile to start dating, then a little longer to say that we love each other, but once we did, he told me he's always been in love with me, too. love at first sight happens. maybe you don't realize it at the time (i didn't, but looking back, i've always loved him) but someday you will.

I do think there is a difference between attraction at first sight and love at first sight.

Some people say stuff like, "I saw a really cute guy today. It was love at first sight," about everyone. I doubt that truly is love at first sight. I do believe it exists though =)

Its a weird story xD

Ya see...it all started over a year ago.

I didnt know ANYONE except for the people in my classes (let alone people a year older then me!) so I was trying out for this production, but because of my brother i was really good friends with the director. So i decided to try out, and boys are kinda rare in theatre, so he was up on stage acting out this part.

Well, i found myself... (this will sound absolutely ridikerous, but its true!) GIGGLING at him, because his part was to trip and fall (but see hes not fat, and hes not skinny, but he seemed kinda normal with a little chub) and so...he fell, and then all of the sudden, i just...BURSTED OUT laughing! I dont know WHY but i did, and everyone was dead silent, and im holding in these snickers/giggles and he just stops and stared at me.

Then i got home, and all i could think about was him (i didn't even KNOW him!) but not thinking about him in a romantic way just "Wow, i really hope he gets the lead male role, hes wonderful" and sure enough he did, then I completely forgot about that...

but..then, i tried out for this honors band and got in (but i didnt know HE did too! We have a TON in common) so..we saw each other a LOT within a months time (with rehersals and everything) and..we kinda...clicked. Like everything seemed so right. Within 3 days, i fell for him. (sooo weird, totally not like me) and then one rainy day, i was thinking back upon what a great year it was and I remembered everything, espically how i first saw him, and how i basically fell for him right then and there. How we'd text from like.. 8am until 11pm, and did a duet together


You'll probably never believe this, but I totally still like him

Soulmates, yes. Love at first sight, no. You could like someone at first sight... but just because you marry them a year later and are together with them doesn't mean love at first sight. You have to get to know people to love them.

I do for both...but I do believe you can have more than one soulmate like if the 1st one passes away
