SOTMK - picking up cards

This will be our first trip using magic bands. Previously to pick up SOTMK cards you had to show your tickets and didn't seem to need all people in your party present to get a pack of cards for each person. Does this change with the use of magic bands? Do we all need to be present to get a pack of cards? Thanks for any info!

Yes it has changed. Each person has to present and scan their MB to get a pack of cards.

It's Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. It's an interactive card game that you can play for free. Visit the Firehouse on Main Street to pick up a pack of cards and then you go around the Magic Kingdom completing various missions. It's really cool and it's something FREE at Disney!

There is also a SOTMK kiosk behind the Christmas shop/near the entrance to Tiana's queue that is rarely busy where you can pick up your cards. It's my understanding that the Firehouse can get busy, so we've always gone to the Liberty Square kiosk instead.
