Sorry, I have never flown with US airways before and am planning a trip (not Orlando) and US airways are offering the least expensive flight options.

My ? is: How is the financial stability of this airline? I won't be flying until approx. 6 months from now and want to make sure that this is a financially sound company that will definately still be flying by then.

Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

US airways is as stable as the others ... I would not worry about them anymore than I would others!

IMO I would only worry about Spirit who out of the blue started selling stock to raise money ????

They are too large of an airline to suddenly stop flying. If they file bankruptcy, they will keep flying while they reorganize, they have already done it twice and came out of it. But I haven't heard of any indication that they are near bankruptcy again.

They made a profit in 3 out of 4 quarters last year and are estimated to make a profit in quarters 2 & 3 this year.
