Yes - this would be two completely separate reservations as far as Disney is concerned, they don't recognize the term "split stay". Just so your aware going forward!

We do it often as our party size changes but you will need to book DME as two separate one way trips (if your using it) and arrange to get from one resort to another if you don't have a car. Disney will transfer luggage but not people We usually just pack our bags and bring them to bell services to be transferred and then head to a park.
