Just recieved my BIG OLD PACKET of papers to sign today. REading over everything but just one more question. Can you borrow points from more than one year ahead??

No... You can borrow from only one year ahead, but then you can also bank from one year back...

So... At any given time, you can have the availabilty to use 3x's your normal use year's points...

Banked Points (Previous Year)
Current Year
+ Borrowed Points (Next Year)

Thank you --that was a great explaination of what was meant when i read about the ability to use 300% of your points--NOW i understand!

One point that confuses alot of new members - your point usage is based on your date of stay, not your date of reservation. For example, if you have a August use year and want to stay in September this year, you could use banked 2002 points, current 2003 & borrowed 2004. You would not have to wait until August to make the reservation with 2004 borrowed points, you could do it now. If you wanted to stay in July (before your August use year starts), you would use banked 2001, current 2002, borrowed 2003.

One final point. Unlike banking, you can borrow only those points actually required to make a reservation.

For example, you could 'bank' all your 2002 points into 2003. But you cannot just go ahead and 'borrow' all your 2004 points and put them into 2003 also. (Thus giving you 300%)

You can only borrow to make a reservation. For example, you own 150 points. You bank all 150 yr 2002 points into 2003, giving you 300 points available. You want to make a 400 point vacation. You would only be allowed to 'borrow' the 100 points required to complete the reservation. The remaining 50 yr 2004 points would remain in 2004.
