Sorry, long vent about reservations...Updated post #26

Okay, believe it or not DS11 cares more about dining than I do :rotfl: . Once he got to eat off the adult menu, he fell in love with the filet mignon at Le Cellier and rated it as his favorite restaurant.......until, he tried the filet mignon at Jiko.

If you are on the DDXP, by all means, experience signature dining - it's far superior to anything you can get at even the most hyped of TS restaurants. If you're not on the DDXP, the OOP prices for signature dining is not much more than other TS - and the quality of the entire experience more than makes up for the small price difference - example: Filet Mignon is 29.00 at Le Cellier, 34.00 at Jiko. If you're on the regular DDP - IMHO, signature dining is a horrible waste of credits.

So - I'd suggest Jiko, Yachsman, Artist Point, California Grill or Flying Fish. I have a feeling any of those would replace Le Cellier in your daughter's heart.

I can understand your frustrations because I don't really understand how places can be full already. We are going to have a group of 7 with us in September, so try getting the time you want with a large group. Not fun, but we managed to get times that I am happy about.

I too had difficulty getting an evening ressie for LeCellier for our party of 2. I then tried for a late lunch time 2:40 and got in no problem. Try that instead of dinner and that way you'll still be going to LeCellier but just not for dinner.:)

What's wrong with the 4:10 ADR? I know it's early, but it would be an ADR.

I do understand your disappointment, but I would try calling back at the 180-days from the day you want to eat there and see what you get. If not, just keep trying.

Soooo depressed... After months of pre-planning, I called Disney Dining at 7:00 AM sharp this morning and got right through. Asked for a dinner reservation at Le Cellier on 9/22, any time, for a party of 2. They are full up, sold out!!!

Hi, just wondering if you called again today at 7am like many of us suggested - and were you successful?

Yes I did call back at 7 this morning, and again, got right through. And again, nothing was available for dinner. The CM seemed suprised though, said maybe they just hadn't released additional tables yet (so maybe the rumors about tables held back for 180 days exactly are true?) and I should try back in a couple hours. I did contemplate her suggestion but decided at this point the food gods were telling me to go somewhere else...so I now have a 6:10 reservation at the Flying Fish Cafe! Gives me an excuse to try something new and introduce my DD to the Boardwalk area. (DH & I stayed at the BCV's last year.) Thanks again for all your suggestions. :)

Great choice! The food is excellent, service is attentive, and the restaurant is lovely, open, and spacious - plus there's all the awesome Boardwalk entertainment after dinner! She'll love it. :goodvibes
