I consider myself pretty Disney savvy but I do not do the "pin" thing. I have heard about a "Magical Moments" pin???? What is that? And what does it do?

It's a pin that lights up during certain parades and shows, and in certain attractions. My son loves his.

My daughter really enjoyed her magical moments pin, they "interact"(light up) during certain rides, parades and certain locations. There are 5 different designs and are about $15. If you go to Disney's website under 100 yrs of magic there is a place where you can download a certificate to receive a free pin when you buy a magical moments pin at MGM.

We bought the pins last year (better dig it out cuz we're gonna be there in a couple of weeks) and it was a great conversation piece. It lit up in lots of rides...Space Mountain was a big one. People were asking "where'd you get that, what does it do?". We had so much fun with it. Better check the batteries before we leave because I'm definitely gonna use it again. - Nancy

I don't get the pin thing either. When we had little kids we had no money and I had to save to get my Disney fix every year. We purchased the pins for the children because they were a souvineer we could afford. I guess they may be worth something now but I won't part with them. The kids use to put them all over the belt bags they had. DD still has all of her and she bought a lanyard when she went to DW for her senior trip. They are all on it in her room now. She hopes to get a summer job at Disney so I guess that is why she is keeping them home. I love mine because they help me remeber when the kids were younger and so cute. They are still cute but they were easier when they were younger.
I think the pins that light up are cute but theya re so big they would be annoying.
