Sorry for being MIA

Here if they have legally purchased a house, all the papers are signed and they have possession of the property then house and all it's belongings are now theirs. They can have a yard sale, throw it out, keep it what ever they want to do. He would have no legal recourse.
Now, if they purchased the house and in the agreement he had x amount of days to vacate the property then he has until such date to remove his belongings but he will also be charged rent for those days. So if the new owners rent was $1000 per month and there were 30 days in the month that he was still living there and he was there for 14 days you would divide 1000 by 30 which is $33.33 then multiply by 14 days. He would have to pay $466.62 in rent.

Just want you wanted huh, a lesson in US realty practices. :rotfl2:
Can you tell we were in this position before???

-DH is home this week so I have to pretend to do stuff around the house
*The general is in town so base command has to be in top form*

Sounds like you run a tight ship, solder...........when the general is in town.

Good to hear your hot water heater is installed and working. Hope DS9 is feeling better.

Our weekend was crazed but I think it is settling down to normal, whatever normal is.:lmao: DD went thru all our Disney albums Friday night and started packing to go. All the suitcases came out, got packed with her bathing suits, pillow, shorts and tops. Ahhh, if only it was that easy.

Normal? What's normal????

The saga continues:
DH is currently on the phone looking for a wheel hub assembly for my car. $300 later we might have one tomorrow.

We have our own $$ crisis. The brakes on DH truck are broke. Broke in that the lines are RUSTED. Who designs brake lines that can rust?! So he has to get the new pipe, a pipe bender and then find the time to do it. Because we can not afford what a shop would cost.

Been there!!!! It was something like $250 to replace the lines for our old truck. And that was just the back brakes!

OY! What a day....

Yup, back brakes, but need to do the whole system at once.
Sorry to hear about your car troubles too.
Makes me real glad we didn't trade in our Durango when we got the Minivan. They offered us $2000. :scared1: :confused3 What the? It has already given us that and more back as a gotocar on occasions just like this. I would hate having to get up every morning to drive him to work so I could have vehicle during the day.

Oy! You want to talk $ for brakes!!!! I just had to replace all my brakes and one rotor in my truck. Ford quoted me $1300.00 for the job!!! I about croked!!! I just couldn't afford that! Then they told me that it was not drivable and I had to have it towed outa there!!!! Thank goodness my boyfriend came to the rescue and found someone to do the job for less than half and I was able to get all the parts and labor for less than half that!!! It was still a lot of money, but better than the original quote!!!! Unbelievable what it costs to keep a vehicle on the road!!!!! I am going to have to buckle down and eventually buy a new one soon I guess... This one is costing me too much money now!!!!

The general rule of thumb is that if it costs more to keep your car on the road than a new car payment it is about time to get a new car.

Since we have paid off our cars- we seem to get a new letter offering us a car for less than our current payment. I keep wondering if that means they will pay us money each month to take a car off the lot since we don't have a car payment. Think anyone would go for that?

Love it!! Great way to look at it.. If it works let me know.. We are about to pay off the truck and will only have my van left for 2 more years...

I have a friend whose son is fundraising for an Alaska trip through an extracurricular event.. Well, he got letters back stating "too many requests have come in and they can't sponsor him at this time but good luck".. She received a letter in the mail 2 days later from one of those people that she had gotten a rejection letter from.. she called me and I suggested she send a copy of that form letter they sent her back to them.. "I have had too many requests..... best of luck".. She received a check in the mail from that person the following week!!!

Yea, wouldn't that be great!!!! Sometimes you think they should pay us to do them a favor!!!! I would drive around in their car and advertise it just to take it off their lot!!!!

You mean they turned down her son, then asked for money from her? NERVE!!!

Yes, that is what they did.. That is why I suggested sending the form letter back to them saying she is hit all the time for money and she just can't help them!! I think its funny they sent money to sponsor her son after receiving that form letter back to them!
