Sorry. Dining Plan Tip Question.

Ok, my computer has been out of commission for a couple of weeks and I haven't been able to be on the site.

We are going to DW the first week of January. I didn't know what flight we could get, so I booked starting Dec. 31, 2008.......so we were able to book our entire package.

I am reading a lot about Dining Plan changes, we were just there last November...so is the TIP NOT INCLUDED ANYMORE???? is this new or am I just REALLY far behind?

I have planned this trip for me, my dd, my 2 sisters, 2 nieces and mother, so I will need to let them all know, if there is "additional money needed" at dinner...especially since I have told them all EVERYTHING INCLUDING TIP IS INCLUDED

Though you are right, tip is no longer included. Any further questions/discussions may already be answered in the 'official' tip thread.

The 2008 Dining plan does not include tip. We don't know yet what options the 2009 Dining plan will have. Stay tuned to the DIS - details should be released in August.

There were a lot of complaints that DDP-users felt that the service was lacking in the TS restaurants because the servers were guaranteed the 18% tip. So it was eliminated for 2008, although parties of 6+ are still billed the auto gratuity of 18%. Another change for 2008 was the elimination of the appetizer being included with TS meals.

The tip is NOT included. We just got back last week and they do calculate both an 18% tip and a 20% tip on your bill for you so you don't have to do the math! How nice of them!!! LOL!
