Sorry--but how do you clean the tub again?

I have been trying to search all morning and it won't let me, I know this has been posted before, but I can't find it! So I'm sorry for asking again, but can someone please post how you are supposed to clean the jet tubs? I'm wanting to clean mine here at home but can't remember exactly how you all did it? Thanks so much!!!

Ok, I got the info from the university that did the study and the answer would be to fill up the tub with water past the jets.... Then add bleach and let it run...Then fill up the tub and run it again to clear the bleach out of the pipes.... If you have your own tub, you should only do it every month because it corrodes the piping.

Additionally, you can wear a wetsuit. It sort of defeats the purpose but you just can't beat the peace of mind.

When we are not wearing our wetsuits we also run bleach through the jets.

disynut, if it's the same thread I read not too long ago...someone said they fill the tub with HOT water and run it for 15 minutes with dishwasher detergent and bleach. (Do this 2X.)

I only know because I started keeping a notebook due to so many good tips and I was forgetting all the details.

The manufacturers of several hot tubs recomend using hot water and dishwashing detergent, which is already in your DVC unit when you check in. Put in the water in the tub, throw in a couple of packets, and afterwards, rinse, then you're done!
