Sorry, another tipping question.

OK, I understand we will have servers that move with us through each dining rotation. That's for dinner though, right? What if we choose to eat in any of the restaurants for breakfast or lunch? It is my understanding that it is open seating at those times. Should we be keeping track of those servers also and include them in the tip envelopes as well?? Thanks for all that respond. I really want to get this tip thing down pat so that I am not worried about it everytime someone brings me something! I am a first time cruiser and I certainly want to do what is customary and appropriate. Thanks!

The same wait staff works the restaurants and buffet during the day. The tips ostensibly cover this as well. This is why I tip based on 7 nights even though I'll eat at Palo one night and likely eat at Topsiders or in my room one night.

Some people do leave cash tips on the table at breakfast and lunch. I don't consider myself particularly cheap, but I've never done this, nor do I think it is expected.

You'll see varying opinions about this, I'm sure.

I agree - I tip my dinner servers at the end of the cruise and don't worry about at breakfast or lunch. All the servers seem to take turns doing the various breakfast and lunch jobs; I think I saw my dinner server once at breakfast during the week.

There were a couple times that we asked our server where they would be in the morning & we went there for breakfast or lunch in the dining room & requested them.
