Hi,
I read many posts about the recent changes to rider swap. We haven't had to do a rider swap for more than 12 years but we are traveling with my nephew who has a young child. I just want to be sure I am clear on how it works with stand by now. We are 4 adults and a 3 yr old. Do all of us have to stand in line and then get the digital rider swap loaded to our account when we get near the front of the line? Or do we find a CM before we get in line and they load the digital rider swap before anyone stands in line? If the posted wait time is 1 hour, when will the return time and expiration time be for the second group of riders using the digital swap? Is there any issue if one or more decide not to wait in the stand by line if it is too long (if the rider swap is loaded before getting in line)? Thanks.

The "too small" child will not be allowed into the queue, therefore the Rider Swap is issued where you enter the line. All parties must be present, and tell the CM who is "party 1" riding first and "party 2" riding with the swap. The swap pass will only be put onto the bands of party 2. The swap return appears to be timed to approximately when party 1 is expected to finish...some have reported about a 10 minute gap after party 1 rides and before the swap pass time -- so if using the standby queue it is likely to be approximately the posted wait time. If someone from party 1 decides to leave the queue, unless they were also named in party 2 that person will not be able to ride on the RS.

Enjoy your vacation!
