Hi,
My Wife, 3 boys and I will be using the Magical Express for our 21 night stay at POR in October :cool2: and then we are moving for two extra nights at Pop as we are meeting some family.
One of my sons won't be on our Pop booking because he will be staying off property with our family members but will be travelling home with us when we return to the UK.
So my Question is ...When we are due to leave Pop on the DME will my son still be allowed on the Coach as he wouldn't be on our second booking at Pop although he is on our main booking for the three weeks at POR?

I hope that makes sense

Any help will be great,
Thanks

You'll have to add him to your second POP reservation. I don't know if POP will let you book 5 people in one room.

Otherwise talk to Mears when you arrive in MCO. DME drivers can't accept payment. It's possible you'll be able to pay Mears (when you arrive) for transportation back to MCO. I don't know if Mears will let a customer with a pre-paid voucher take a DME bus back to MCO. Alternatley he'll need to find an offiste pickup near to where he's staying and meet you in MCO.

edited to add--He won't be able to take free DME back to MCO 2 days after he checked out. The only question is how (if) he can pay and take the same bus as the rest of his family.

Thanks for your answer. My son is 9 so we have to travel together. Will checkMears out, thanks

The easiest solution would be for the dad to purchase a one-way Mears ticket from either the Swan or Dolphin to MCO upon arrival at the airport.

Then the 3 sons and Mom can take DME to the airport. (3 male names, 1 female name, no problem).

The day before departure, dad would call Mears and give them his flight number and airline, then dad would be given a pickup time at the Swan or Dolphin.

Then dad could take a Disney bus from Pop to the Studios, then walk over to Swan/Dolphin and catch the Mears bus from there to the airport.

(Or the offsite family that is dropping the son to Pop can take dad over to Swan/Dolphin)

Thanks so much:thumbsup2, already looking into doing it that way. Just wish Disney would allow the extra person as we would be at POR for the 3 weeks. Would save a the research and hassle of different buses!
Thanks again

Wait until you land at MCO and walk over to the Mears desk. Explain the situation. Mears has been know to put paying customers on DME buses for the trip from MCO to WDW. They may be able to accommodate paying passengers from WDW to MCO if the passenger pre-paid at MCO and has a voucher. Your only chance is to pay at MCO, the DME bus drivers can't accept money since the service is free.

I don't think calling Mears or emailing them will help. They'll probably read from the script and tell you only DME services Disney resorts and suggest you take a taxi. The Mears people at MCO might be able to work with you.
