We have tickets for MHT but I am still unclear as to what exactly goes on. I know the rides are open, the kids get candy, and there are not any shows running....but what else goes on? Are there other events that we need to make sure we are at at a certain time? Sorry, I am just not clear on what goes on. Thanks!

The only scheduled event is the "Mickey's Trick or Treat on the Street" procession. It starts an hour before the party ends (i.e. 9:30 or 10:30) over by Paradise Pier, and ends at Candy Corn Acres (aka Sunshine Plaza). It stops twice for two short performances - in front of Golden Screams and at Candy Corn Acres. We saw it Friday - it got to Candy Corn Acres about 30-35 minutes after it started, and the performance thing was 10 minutes or so. If you want to be in the front row at Candy Corn Acres you need to get there at least 15 minutes before the parade starts at Paradise Pier - though yes, that means you'll be sitting/standing around for 45 minutes or so.

There are crafts and games for the kids at Pirate's Wharf, and dancing at the three party spots. The Boardwalk games are open, and they are free - everyone gets candy for participating.

There's lots of character meet and greet - several formal spots, where the lines tend to be pretty long, but there's also lots of characters just walking around the park, and there are usually no lines to see them. There's also characters dancing with guests at each of the party spots.

So essentially once again NOT MUCH is happening as compared to Halloween activities of the other Disney parks and southern California amusement parks.

If Disney wants to win the hearts and minds of locals and tourist they are going to have to kick this party up a notch.

This is our third year at MHT and it is "business as usual" with a price increase!:confused3

I wish I hadn't have purchased tickets to this. the only reason I did was because I thought we would get more time in CA after it closed to the public. Oh well, hopefully the kids will enjoy it.

We went last year and had a great time!! I think it is very festive and a ton of fun. So much so that we're going again. There are lots of trick or treating stations and fun decorations and lighting effects. Also music, pictures, and crafts. And of course extra time to ride the rides with smaller lines. We can't wait to go again! :cool1: I'm sure most of the fun starts with the attitude you bring with you! :goodvibes
