Sorry, another FP+ question and I can't find the answer

I apologize in advance, but I've been away for awhile and have not been keeping up with all of the FP+ changes.

We have several non-expire old style paper tickets from Undercover Tourist. I've read the various threads about how we need to convert these to Magic Bands at a park or Customer Service. However, these tickets have never been used and have the full number of days on them. When we book our room, and set up the trip on the website, will I be able to enter the ticket numbers to reserve the Fast Passes, or do they need to be activated or put on a Magic Band first?

Also, we have non-expire tickets for 3 of us, but not the 4th. Since my son doesn't go with us some of the time, can we just buy a 5 day ticket and attach that as well without being activated?

So the net will be 3 never used non-expire tickets and 1 never used 5 day ticket. Once we get our room reservation will we be able to add the ticket number to our reservation to make our Fast Pass reservations and then convert the paper tickets to the Magic Band when we get there?

Finally, once we're back do we just hold on to the remaining days on the Magic Bands and store those until next trip just like the old style paper tickets?

There are no tickets stored on Magic Bands. All the bands do is read your My Disney Experience profile. All you have to do is link the tickets to each person's profile and any band assigned to them should be able to read those tickets.

Multi-day tickets are not activated until they are used to enter a park. So if you add a 5 day ticket for your son and it is not used, it will not expire. However, once he uses it for the first time, it will expire 14 days after that.

OK, so once I have a room reservation I can load tickets to each profile on My Disney Experience? Is that correct? Or can I load the tickets as soon as I create my account and attach my family members?

Also, for those of us who use non-expire tickets, will My Disney Experience track what's remaining for visits for each person with a profile, or does that still need to be manually tracked?
