Im trying to get my last minute questions in here before I leave on Sunday.

Next tuesday we are going to use our EE passes... the park opens at 8:00am (For the general public). We are staying right across the street on Harbor so the walk will be really close. What time do you think we should be up, dressed and at the gates for EE? Last time we were at DL we missed our EE and were kinda upset about it, so I want to plan this accordingly.

I would plan to be there about 1/2 hour before opening, so 7:30.

I agree 1/2 hour is quite safe. That would be 6:30 if normal park opening is 8:00. As long as you get there before 20 minutes prior to EE opening you should be in pretty good shape to be near the front of the line. Keep in mind the parking lots open 1/2 hour before EE so the first trams and ART buses start rolling in somewhere around 20 minutes before EE opening.

HI, this is a great topic!! I have these same questions. Is there anywhere to park within walking distance to the park? Also, Is there a special line or entrance for the EE??

YOu can walk from the Mickey and friends parking garage, but its not a short walk! I would recomend getting there early and riding the tram.

Im not sure either about a special line, I just figured once you got into the park that you headed straight for the castle or tomorrowland. :confused3 I dont even know how they tell who has early entry and who doesnt. Mainstreet opens the general public a half hour before the rest of the park so who knows whos who????

Good point, I just assumed that she meant it was 8 for EE (9 for regular).

If the park opens at 8am then EE is at 7am. On 8am with EE opening days they do not allow other park guests on to Main Street early they are held at the gate. When you approach the gates some will be marked as EE gates. They will be able to tell from your tickets if you have EE previlidge or not (hotel guests have to show their room charge slips for EE)

Gotcha so the park for the general public opens at 8 and EE starts at 7, so be up and at the gates at 645... I think I got it. Thanks a bunch

No special line - but if you do line up early, make sure your line is going to open. When we were there in Oct they alternated the gates (only the odd or even numbered lines were opening) If you are not sure, check with a CM - it would not be good to wait in a line at a closed gate.

Sorry let me re edit that... I guess I should have stated better, I ment the park for the general public opens at 8:00 so I dont know what time I should be there for EE. Cause if the park for the public opens at 8 so like stated above I should be there around 645ish?

Yep - that's going to be early!!! :faint:

Mystic, I have this thing about being first in line at the gates, so I usually show up 40-45 minutes prior to EE time. I ask the CM as I approach the gates if they are using odd/even numbered gates that day. Once I have an answer I try to be at the front or close to the front of one of the lines. There's nothing like being one of the first to walk down Main Street USA with nobody in front of you. That's Disney Magic for me. :wizard:

:lmao: Oh lordy! Im gonna be dragging my feet.... Peter pan 7 times and a huge cup of coffee :thumbsup2 What a morning!

My experience has been that only select gates are open for EE, off to one side or the other. (I have been to EE when the gates on the right side are being used and, more recently, when the gates on the left side are used). There are usually signs above the gates that indicate EE. CMs will help you be sure you are in the right place, but unless you get there well before 6:30, you'll see others lining up. 6:45 is fine if you don't mind risking being back in the line a bit -- and that can cost you a bit of time; getting there 5 minutes earlier will help you beat the first M&F trams and ART buses.

I don't know of any place you can legally park near by that will allow you to walk to the park to be at the gates by 6:30. You may be able to park at th Convention center (at a cost), but that's a fair walk. Taxi's might be an option. Otherwise, make sure you are on the first ART bus from your hotel, or be lined up at the M&F parking lot a little before 6:30 so that you can be on that first tram.

Excellent! Im will make sure im at the gates around 630 to be absoloute sure. Thats sounds awesome being one of the first people to enter mainstreet and walk down with no one in front.... Oh im gonna attempt it, even if I have to let my family sleep and I head over myself. :thumbsup2

I also will be there next Monday & Tuesday (6/4 & 6/5) for EE. The Disney Web site shows DL Hours (for the General Public) to be 9am - 11pm.

(note: We will also be there on Sunday 6/3 & on Sunday the website shows the hours to be 8am - 11pm).

When we went in March, (during the week) we got to the front gate at 7:35 am for an 8am EE opening. There were about 4-5 gates (lines) that had formed (to the right). We were the 11th family in our line. So we were (about) the 40th-50th family thru the gate.

While others oohed & awwed at the castle, we walked purposefully to FL & were the second or third family on Peter Pan - no line. After PP we walked on Dumbo.

Awesome thanks for the link! I cant wait omg its getting so close now isnt it :dance3: Less then a week now

But please note the times next week - monday & tuesday.

(I show) General Public opens at NINE AM. (Implying an EE opening of 8AM).

Not 7am.

Meaning we can/should get in line at 7:30ish....not 6:30ish. Which makes a big difference !!! :lmao: (at least for me :coffee: )

If anyone else can confirm the time for EE next week, please do so. I don't want to be an hour late....but I REALLY don't want to line up an hour & a half prior to EE opening. We'll be like the Griswolds at WallyWorld. :rotfl2:

But if you got there 1 1/2 hours early you could probably be the family that does the count down at opening.
