Hi! I'm so sorry to make another CROCS thread :goodvibes .

I'm finally breaking down and want to order a pair of Crocs. I have checked in two malls, and they aren't carried anywhere around here. I had really wanted to try them on because I'm confused on the size issue.

The site says that the beach style run large, but are supposed to fit loose. I wear a 7 1/2. Should I go up a size, to the 8/9, or will that be too big? I hate to just order and try without advice, since I would then have to pay the return shipping.

Also, what's the difference between the Cayman (?) and the Beach? They both look almost the same? Are they both equally comfy?

Thanks. I can't wait to find out what everyones' been talking about all these months. :)

The Beach runs in S, M, L, XL, etc. and the Cayman runs in whole sizes. The Cayman is also slightly narrower than the Beach. I did not find that they run large at all. They do fit loose, but they are supposed to.

I wear a size 11. I bought the 11 Caymens, and they fit perfectly. I also bought the Beach 10-11, and they are a tiny bit snug.

I wear a 7 1/2 and just got the Caymen in m6/w8 and they fit great. Any bigger and I would be swimming in them. I tried the next size down but my toes hit the end.

I own several styles of crocs. My first pair was a Beach and I ordered my actual size-- I wear a 6.5 and I ordered a small. They're perfect, run large and feel great. Next I ordered Aspens in my actual size-- I think I ordered a seven actually, and my toe touched the end when I walked. I hated that feeling so I ordered 8s instead and they're perfect. I guess I got used to the large feeling of the Beach and anything else just doesn't feel right now.

I don't bother looking at any other shoes anymore. I'm a crocs fanatic!! :p

the way everyone keeps talking about these things im starting to wish they made them for men i got a size 12 foot but they sure soung comfy

I bought the beach style the other day. I normally wear a 7 1/2. I bought the 6/7 (small size) and they fit great. The next size up and they were way too big. I Looked like my daughter playing dress up. :rotfl2: You don't live too far from me. Around here they sell them at Dillards dept. stores and Journeys shoe stores in the malls to name a few. I typed in our zip code on the Crocs website and it pulled up a list of where I could purchase them. Good luck. :wizard:

My daughter wears a 7 1/2 and she got the Beach in a small (6-7). We did put them in dryer and let her wear them to stretch a bit. If she had gotten the next size up (m, 8-9), they would have been way too large.

Thank you, Thank you!!!!! I was this close to ordering the larger size last night, and it sounds like they would have been way too big. Thanks for the advice...I'm off to order mine. Oh boy, now I have to decide on a color. :goodvibes

Did you search on the Crocs website? Most people have had luck that way, because lots of places carry them now. We don't have any Crocs kiosks as I've seen some places, but you may find that department stores, Hallmarks (yeah, who knows about that one, but they often do!), even little boutique stores might have them. I am definitely glad I tried them on first, and then I ordered from a website.

Good luck! :goodvibes

Okay that's good to know, i thought i was the only one. I am usually a 9.5 womens and I tried the womens 10-11 and they fit a bit loose but the 8-9 fit way too small. Do you think I should try the beach??

On the Crocs site, they offer the Beach style up to a 4XL, which is equal to a mens 16-17. I'd imagine if the interest grows, they'll start making the other styles larger.

OK, I have a new question.

We received our CROCS yesterday. BTW..I was so impressed with NoFearGear.com. We got the 5-7 day free shipping, and the package arrived within 48 hours of placing the order :) . My dd hasn't taken her purple CROCS off.

Anyway, I went ahead and ordered the small. When standing in them, my feet pretty much fill the entire shoe. When I walk, my feet push out the front (I feel like my toes will come out the holes). Should this be happening or should my feet not even touch the top while walking? It's not that they are really uncomfortable, but I do feel it pushing. And the strap is right around my ankle. Should there be a gap there, too?

Sounds like they are too small. Here is sizing info from the Croc site:

THE PERFECT CROCS™ FIT.

Crocs™ should not fit like other shoes:

They should fit very loosely.

The sides of your foot should not really touch the sides of the shoe.

Your toes should never make contact with the front of the shoe.

Once you have centered your foot on the foot-bed:

You should have about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of space in front of your toes, behind your heel and when you lift the strap you should be able to comfortably get your finger between the strap and heel.

In other words the fit should be “loose”.

I know that this goes against everything that you have ever been used to in a shoe, but these are the parameters that the shoe was designed to be worn under.

No Pressure points Ever!

To insure that the strap is not pulling your foot into the front of the shoe, rotate the strap forward and determine if your foot rests comfortably in the foot bed and there is room all around your foot. If so, you have the proper size but the strap is too short. To alleviate this issue, work your fingers around the strap and stretch it as you go around being careful not to put excessive pressure on the rivet hole. Stretch the strap until it is just short of the back edge of the shoe. The resin material has memory and will stay at the proper length after one or two of these types of adjustments.

I'd read most of the "crocs" threads and was convinced that I needed a pair. Walked into Dillards last night all set to make a purchase. The salesman showed me to a wall covered with all kinds and colors and I nearly fell back when I saw them! They're *way worse* in person than I could have ever imagined! I hurried away empty handed. I don't have nearly the guts you people do.

Oh...but you should have tried a pair on! They may be *ugly* ~ but they are oh so comfy!! They are so worth it..... You can truly not appreciate how *ugly* they are until they are on your feet ~ and then it really doesn't matter what they look like when your feet are all happy and singing with joy!! :thumbsup2 ;)

I so want to get a pair of the new Athens, but they still are not available. I wish they would hurry up already and release them!!

Oh no! Being tempted again! That shoe you posted here is cute and something I think I'd like. Didn't notice anything like that at all when I gazed up at that wall of rubber last night. Back to thinking "maybe" I need a pair of crocs. :scratchin

I thought they were ugly too, but I ordered the niles and I think they are kinda cute :)

They were pretty comfy, but feel a bit big. I guess they are supposed to fit like that?

I've had mine for a few days now & I don't think I could go back to another sandal. If you're worried about the "ugly" factor, get them in a neutral color (mine are khaki & believe me, no one has mentioned or even noticed my shoes yet).
