Sorin and the Land question

I have not yet been to Disney since Sorin was open. In the past to ride the Land ride they had you transfer from scooter to WC. and so they have some WC there for that purpose, do they have them for Sorin as well?
I am very concerned with the difficulty in getting the ECV down to the lower level it has always been a royal pain, but I am sure it is not much worse.

I am thinking of trying [upon acquisition of fast passes] to leave my ECV outside and take the escalator down, I can perhaps slowly make it that far, but one there I can't stand waiting even for fast pass line so I wondered if, perhaps with a Gac for instance, I could get and sit in one of the chairs from the time I get down there till getting on each of those two rides.

anyone know if they both still have the chairs? pirate:

Not that I know of and the walkway to the ride even fast pass is very long.

I was there a couple weeks back, used a scooter for first time. The elevator down was easy, they let you take scooter all the way to the ride, which as said above, is a looooong way. At the ride, they will get the scooter over to the exit side for you when you leave.

When they did the major rehab on The Land they should have installed a second elevator, but they did not. You have to take the elevator downstairs.

At Living With The Land they will allow an ECV in the fastpass line but not the standby line. If you just show up and ask, they will give you a written fastpass which will keep your wait the same as the standby line. For example, if Standby is 20 minutes, they will give a timed ticket to come back in 20 minutes and then you will go through the Fastpass line. Afdter you board they will move your ECV to the exit area.

For Soarin' the lines are physically swo long, and with hills, that you will need to stay in your ECV all the way up to ride boarding. They will move your ECV to a nearby location where it will not interfere in any way, so it will be available immediately at the ride's conclusion.

So looks like I am stuck with the Darn elevator, It is a disgrace that they did not add another one or better yet an alternate entrance to the down stairs area for HC accessibility.
I can just visualize waiting almost as long for my turn in the elevator as the wait once I get to Sorin. LOL

The elevator wait actually wasn't bad at all in September... except the times entire families felt the need to use the elevator along with the one person in the party using an ECV, meaning the next two or three wheelchair/ecv Guests had to wait for the elevator to come back...

The elevator is the one hitch to the pavilion. A major oversight, IMO. It always creates a logjam and puts an undue burden on wheelie guests wanting to ride Soarin'.

With the ride's popularity, it's pretty much a given that everyone gets a FastPass (unless they want to wait 60 minutes or more in Standby). But you have to schlep downstairs to get a FP, usually good for a couple hours later at best, then schlep back upstairs.

When I was there week before last, the elevator broke down in the middle of the day. Fortunately, I had already taken my Soarin' trips and was leaving the pavilion but I ran interference for some other wheelie guests. The CM out front said it was a common problem. What's worse, they were short-staffed that day so were scrambling to find CMs to vet wheelies at the door and take them through an alternate backstage entrance.

I had my rollator walking assist device, I also had a GAC to a seated area to wait. I got down the elevator little trouble sharing with a EVC, and family. At the ride entrance a CM directed me to the fast pass area return. A host came out to escort the folks, fast pass and wheelies to the back enterance, out a door and across a lot it had a ramp area for wheels. Then entered and waited in the que, The next time it was our turn. This was late Oct and evening hours.

The wait over in the standby was 6o minutes.
I never could have done that, no endurance. I was very thankful for the areas I could access as space mountain, and single rider aval attraction fill ins.
