I really liked the current Sorcerer's Apprentice movie with Nicolas Cage and crew. However, it hasn't done well at the box office. So I was just wondering if there were any other fans out there that enjoyed this comedy/action flick so I won't have to feel so alone. :3dglasses

I really enjoyed this movie as well, I thought it was very well done.

You know, this movie really surprised me. I usually don't like Nicholas Cage, but I got roped into seeing this one because DD & I were out of town together and she wanted to see a movie. So we picked Sorcerors Apprentice. It's not classic cinema but it was certainly a pleasant way to kill a couple hours. I thought the special effects were outstanding! In fact, I liked it so much taht when we got home I made DH take me to see it again. And he loved it too!

We all loved it (all being myself, DH and DS 18). I don't know why it didn't do better at the BO. Hopefully it won't stop them from making more movies like it, ie: good story, action, romance and no crap! :thumbsup2

It was fun! Nothing spectacular but a good summer popcorn flick.

We really liked it as well! I think possibly the box office issue is that some adults/older teens thought Sorcerer's Apprentice by Disney, and decided it was too young, and some parents saw Nicholas Cage and previews of some of the fairly mild violence and decided it was too old for their families, if you KWIM? It just hit that middle ground that unless you were someone already positioned to see a Disney not animated movie, it seemed iffy, even though it really was good. I know my sister and bil weren't sure about seeing until we talked them into it.

DD and I loved it. DS like it a lot. We'll buy it when it comes out on DVD. I'd like to see a sequel, but with poor showing, I don't think it likely (same thing happened to Golden Compass).

I went by myself yesterday and thought it was very well done -- I was very surprised. It kept my attention throughout (although I thought the ending was a bit weak), and I had several LOL moments.

"These are not the droids you're looking for"

In the pause before he said that line, I said it because it so seemed to fit, and when he came out with it, I just busted out laughing!!!

Me, too! Other favs:

"What happened to 'Don't touch anything?'"
"Are you in Depeche Mode?"
"It's okay -- I have to go to town anyway to get your anti-itch cream."

We liked it very much. DD told me today that she'd like to see it again. Just the right blend of fantasy, adventure, special effects, humor, and romance.

So how many of us stayed for the Easter Egg after the credits??

They definitely did set it up with that for a possible sequel, I hope they make it as well.

We stayed for the egg. Same as with Pirates. We liked it alot also. a little weak but still good. We would see a SA2!

Be at the World this Sunday!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

We really liked it too and would love to see a sequel! :thumbsup2

(Me being me-50, DH-54, DD-23, DSiL 26.)

DH & I saw it on Saturday and like it. It was just a fun summer movie. I don't always need heavy hitters to be entertained.
