I was wondering if resale owners of DVC can purchase the Sorcerer pass? I was unable to get the gold AP due to restrictions but was not sure if these restrictions are still in place for the new set up.

TIA

There are many reports that they have been more relaxed with giving all DVC the pass vs just blue card holders that, according to the rules DVC has on the website.

So, I as a resale owner I would not plan on it because at any time things could change.

I'm just back from a visit and had two, two day tickets and went to Guest Relations at Epcot and traded those in for a sorcerer pass. I'm a post 2016 resale buyer with a white card. The cast member who was helping me asked for my dvc card I showed him my electronic white card and he did not hesitate to sell me the pass. As I had a more complex transaction I could not do the transaction at guest services so I don't think the cast member who helped me at guest relations was uninformed. I'd say if you are on site it seems to me like Disney is treating all dvc members the same at the parks.

Is it possible to do the upgrades at the resort or just at guest relations at the parks and Disney Springs?

I think it's almost comical how people still seem bound and determined that this isn't happening, yet since day one; I have not heard one claim of a denial at a ticket window. I'll say it again for the people in the back. If you think DVC is the tail that wags the dog, you are sadly mistaken.

Nope, however I think there is guest services at Disney Springs that reports say can help. We were staying at Beach Club Villas so the Guest relations at international gateway was convenient

My take was Disney resorts was happy to sell me the pass :). I imagine that Disney Vacation Club would not be but I was not dealing with them :).

Its funny I just looked at the Disney website and there is no mention of any dvc restriction here is what its says
Disney Sorcerer Pass
If you’re a Florida resident or Disney Vacation Club Member, conjure your own brand of special magic with this pass.

I don’t think that’s it but rather making sure those who try do know there is a chance of an issue.

I agree at this point, the rules are being applied to everyone, regardless of what the DVC site is saying.
