Sorcerer pass confusion

They say we need a park reservation for the first park with our AP but when I go to get it , it says we don't need a park reservation. I booked them anyway but they don't show up on MDE plans.
Why?

If it's a "good to go" day then you don't need a reservation.

Agreed with byurick. If you're booking a park reservation out just a week or 2, it's possible the day you're looking at is a Good to Go day that doesn't require a reservation. But you will definitely need park reservations for most days. The exception is that with an AP, you can enter any park without a park reservation after 2PM (except MK on Saturdays and Sundays).

Out of curiosity, I just looked at the AP park reservation availability calendar. May 1,6,7,8 are all G2G days that don't require park reservations.
