Sorcerer Pass - Adult Children

Yes, only if their permanent address is yours. The address is supposed to match up.

ETA: But, I don't know how this works since you don't have to go to GS to "activate" the pass. It's been a few years since buying an AP.

In a similar vein, we bought a ticket for daughter for our upcoming January trip. Her father and I have Annual Passes but we have mine for the discount and I go more often than the rest of the family. Because of Destination D23 and a friend trip I decided to buy an AP for my husband. When we go in January will I be able to upgrade my daughter’s ticket to a DVC Sorcerer’s Pass? She’ll be 11 so obviously no ID showing proof of residence with me, or do I need to bring a passport along? Would it be easier for me to call member services and try to pre-upgrade her ticket to an AP? She’s finally going to be going enough days that the AP will be cheaper than buying another ticket for her in June so I want to save a bit of money.

It also works if you have elderly parents living with you. The DVC is in my name, but I have been able to get my mom the sorcerer's pass because she lives with me. Addresses match.

You should be able to Upgrade her ticket now if you want to. Call MS and they can upgrade that ticket. Or you can do it at Guest Services or any ticket window on property.

We had to go to GR to prove address for my daughter fiancé as she is the owner and he lives with her, even though we did it over the phone.

His pass was not activated to go right through the gate, evne though her pass worked fine going right through.

I would honestly love to do this, and if I could I’d start considering direct more. But my mom’s address differs from mine by a mere 2 digits! (Same street)

Interesting. I was not aware they allowed friends of the family to get the pass.

In April, we had to go to GS and my (adult) son had to show his license to prove he still lived with us before they activated the pass.

They allow those living in the household and yes, they include fiance as "family".....we did need to bring proof. I think they have done it because there are all types of relationships that fall under "family".
