Sophie Update

....... David did decide to remove support as we did alot of praying for guidance and this was revealed as the best course to persue. Well the ventiator was removed at 5:30pm on friday night and here we are almost 24 hrs later and Sophie's heartrate and respirations are showing normal. David then was angry as to why he had to go thru this and make this decision, and I reminded him of the story of Abraham and Issac, that this may be God's reward for his faithfulness to God's word. Yes we still believe in miracles, GOD DOES ANSWER PRAYER!

God bless and greetings to our wonderful DIS family.

I am sad to report that our Sophie Grace passed away at approx. 3am est today.

The effectiveness of her breathing was not enough to sustain her, as the doctor's had predicted and her little body gave up. She was in Grammy's arms when she passed, with myself beside her, David was having a hard time dealing with this and had to leave the room. We all had the opportunity to hold her before she passed, AND IT FELT GOOD! Her passing was peaceful and we feel this strange sense of calm and peace about it all. We do realize that this is because we let go and let God's will be done and he is the reason we can be at peace.

I want to express a huge THANK YOU to all of our DIS family. Your love support and prayers helped us all to get through this.

I also wanted to say that God is good, and though it may not seem like it now, do not be discouraged, for until we were able to understand that he is in charge and he has a larger plan for all of us, it was only then that we were able to find peace and calm in this.

We continue to pray for all those that suffer, that god comfort and peace comes to them and his healing comes to those who seek it.
