Hi Sooze,

This is my first time posting on your report! I was drawn to the title as my DH and I are also celebrating our 10th this year! I am so envious of your adults only getaway! Your kids are ADORABLE!

Congratulations on getting the part in Thoroughly Modern Millie. I was fortunate enough to see it in NYC when Sutton Foster was Millie. Wish I lived closer so I could join in your DIS meet and see you perform

Just have to say too that I grew up with Drum Corp, winter guard(WGI) and High School marching band. My parents marched for the former Garfield Cadets now called (actually I don't think their the Cadets of Bergen County anymore either? ) Anyway, I am loving your report and can't wait to hear all about your trip!

How amazing that you got to see Sutton Foster perform that role. She is incredible and I'd give anything to hear her sing live. Lucky you! I'm having so much fun with rehearsals.. extremely challenging (and FAST ) choreography. Wish you could see it, too. I'll be sure to post pictures!

Another pagentry arts fan! Hooray! DH worked with "The Cadets" (as they are offically known now!) for several years on their brass staff (around the turn of the century ). Then Carolina Crown snagged him as their brass caption head. DCI finals are going to be in INDY for the next TEN years! So if you want to make a trip out here for the championships, maybe we can hang out!

Congrats on your TENTH! Hope you stay and enjoy the TR. I'll be sure to head over to yours, too. It'll probably be after Millie, tho.. when I have more time to DIS!! When are you leaving for your trip?

I have a very dear friend who will be keeping our children while we are enjoying this magical getaway...

She keeps my kids for days at a time.. and has been doing so for almost 8 years. She loves them as if they are her own, buys them stuff, takes them places, teaches them life lessons. Not ONCE has she ever asked for money. If I'm ever in a pinch for a sitter, she's there. I love her to pieces and so do my kids.

I'd like to get her something special from Disney.. not another TShirt.. but something special.

Do any of you have ideas of what I could get her?!

With the Dis email notifications down I have been trying to search out all the reports I'm subscribed to. Do you have your packing almost complete? Have everything you need for the trip or do you having shopping to do yet? Are you getting nervous butterflys, your trip is almost here!!!

Actually, even tho I'm down to EIGHT DAYS NOW!!!! ... I don't think it has sunk in yet. I plan on doing just about everything on MLK day.. we have the day off so I can run around and get last-minute things. I'm also getting a haircut, which is LONG overdue... I'm going to give myself a pedicure (since the toesies will be seeing sunlight for the first time in a while) I DO have all of my Disney shirts and my bathing suit set aside, but that's it. My life has been SOOOO busy since Millie rehearsals have started! Can't wait to slow down for a few days and relax with the mouse!

a small notebook for TR note-taking
anniversary card to hide under DH's pillow
Dollar Store glow sticks to hand out
memory card for digital camera
small batch of groceries to send with the kids to the baby sitter

Need to do:

type up schedule of where kids will be each day
pull kids' insurance cards
type up list of phone numbers for baby sitter, including DOCTOR info!
color hair
pedicure
confirm flight information and TIMES!
confirm car rental
PACK for me
PACK for kids
Print out ABC list and Postcard address list
Print out other info from friendly DISers from my TR

I'll come back and edit/add to this as things flood my brain today!!

Just thought I would send you a note to say I was thinking about you last night as we took a trip into Avon...hubby had a craving for McAllisters Deli ...crazy, I know, but we do not have anything here in Greencastle...except McDonalds, Wendy's, etc. .

I hope packing is going well and MLK day is a "good-day" for you to accomplish your final tasks...I know as a teacher, time is a very valuable thing.

Yes, and I'm actually just doing my own pedicure.. I'd rather spend the money I'd have to pay to get one on some Dole Whips or Mickey Ice Cream heads! I'm sure hoping my toes see some daylight!!

I LOVE this idea! She is also a teacher and she could keep this on her desk. DING DING DING!!!! We have a winner! I could also make sure I give her an updated picture every once in a while to place in the frame. Thanks SOOO much! It's perfect for her!

I found my TR notebook today, check it out:

Slapped a few pictures onto a LIME GREEN mini notebook.. and there you have it! Now I just need to remember to pack some pens and I'm ready to report!

We learned the big tap number Friday night, "Forget About the Boy"... OH MY GOSH!! I'm in so much pain! I'm not a tap dancer, but I can "tap dance"... I'm just not really trained at all. Wouldn't you know it, my character has a TAP SOLO!! I was so intimidated!!! But I got through it, knowing I'd be in my basement every night practicing my little taps off!!!

Say a prayer that the Lord makes my untrained, not-in-shape little feet get MOVIN'!!!!

Maybe some Florida sun is all they'll need... let's hope!!
