Hope Shae feels better after a good night's sleep. I agree, I would much rather deal with my kids illness just prior to a trip rather than far from home. I'm happy you were able to have her checked out today. but hopefully tomorrow.

I think your forecast looks awesome . It has been just frigid here in WI, 10 inches of snow yesterday too.

I am going to WDW for a quick 3 night, 2 day, park trip Feb 4th. I am going to visit my DD who now lives in FL. Her BF will be going for the 1st time, how fun will that be? We'll try to take it easy on him

And you should be jealous.. The sun is shining brilliantly here in Indianapolis today.. looks gorgeous.. then you walk out the door and.. .. DANG it's cold! I just can't believe that in a few short days, I'll be walking out the door and going... ahhhhhh.. warmth!!

Taking a first timer?!?! I LOVE IT!! Make sure he knows, that if he has any intentions of staying with DD, that he MUST appreciate the magic that is Disney!!

She is doing SO much better today. We kept her home from the sitter so she could stay in her pj's, drink lots of fluids, and be babied back to health! She's already getting back to normal.. gotta love the steroid shots! (Ooops, don't let Roger Clemens hear me say that!)

Thank you so much everyone!
We took Shae to the doc today.. she has croup! That reassured my 'mommy medical knowledge'.. I totally called it as soon as I heard that awful cough. They gave her a steroid shot in the leg.. told us to give her Tylenol for the fever and humidifier to help her breathe at night... she's sound asleep right now.. so here's hoping...

I guess I can be thankful this happened three days before we left, not the night before.. or, worse yet, while we were away! I would've felt awful. So keep the prayers coming that the worst of it is over...

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear about your little one being sick. I'm praying for you and for her that she gets better quickly and that your DS doesn't get sick either. It's so good that you were able to get her in at the Dr. I'm sure everything is going to be fine now that she had the shot.

So for the past few days, I've been saying "A week from now, we'll be at Disney"... or "A week from now, we'll be getting in our bed at POR"...

Guess what I said this morning?

"A week from now, I'll be back home getting ready to go back to work"... isn't that sad?!?!

okay.. carry on...

You know the part of Mary Poppins when they are laughing on the ceiling, and then Mary Poppins says "It is time to go home" and they all say "that is very sad" and they all float back down to the ground...

But think....You get to go to Disney in between now and then!!!

LOL about the "in one week I'll be heading back to work" comment. I love the anticipation and planning part of every Disney Vacation. Since I schedule apppointments as part of my job I am always looking at dates 3-4 weeks in the future. I will think, when I see this patient on ____date, my vacation will be over. I can't help it, that's why I always need to have something to look forward to next

We're crazy, aren't we?! I'll definitely enjoy the trip.. the weather looks too good to be true right now.. hoping for anything warmer than 20 degrees.. I think we'll get it!

I FINALLY got my butt on the phone with the cake folks at Disney... ordered a little six inch cake that will say "Happy Tenth Anniversary" on it. I told her to just make it look 'classy'... we'll see what we get!!

I think I will be driving Matt crazy with all of my pictures I'll be taking. It started with last year's trip.. and after doing that TR, I realized how many MORE pictures I needed to take!

Just finished my sub plans... man, it's hard to be away from school for 3 days!! But worth every second!
