DH and I just decided on a last minute trip to Disney Oct. 18-23. We will be flying out of Louisville. Finding a flight down is noooooooo problem - finding a flight home - ARGHHHHHHHHHH!

Why oh why must every reasonably priced flight include a 7am or 8am departure on Sunday? With such a short trip we were wanting to hang around for a little bit on Sunday.

I found the perfect flight on Delta - for $863 a ticket! :badpc:

Sorry for whining - I'm just really frustrated!

I know what you mean. We bought tickets for the same weekend back in August and I got excited to find a flight out at 9:30a for an affordable price. It's insane. To get back to IND I have to stop in ATL and CVG. Virtually every airline is booked tight. I tried them all and the only one I could find with a reasonably priced flight was with Delta. Coach is full and F is empty on the 767 to ATL. Once I got there, choices opened up. There is simply a lot going on in Orlando that weekend. I can only imagine what a ZOO MCO is going to be on Sunday AM. Thank goodness we can check in at the resort.

SW has a 1:45 PM flight for $181.

Since you are under 30 days it just gets harder. At that point airfares start to rise. Delta for example, is hoping that business travelers like me will buy that full fare ticket on Sunday night to be someplace for a Monday morning meeting

Seeing this trip is a last minute one, I would go with the $181 southwest flight, even if its taking off earilier then you would like it to be. I wouldn't expect prices like that to hang around much longer...

We finally found a great flight out of Cincinnati - I don't know why it took me all day to think of looking from there! We're leaving early (8:30am) on Wednesday and coming back late (8:30 pm) on Sunday night! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I do throw out the suggestion to book Magical Express back to the airport the previous evening and stay at an airport hotel for your 6:30 AM flight home. No worrying about getting up in the wee hours.

Do you find better priced flights one or two days earlier or one or two days later?
