Sooo Confused - what to do?

I've got two rooms being held at WL for November. We are a family of six so we need the two rooms.

Anyhow Dreams Unlimited is holding the rooms and I need to make my deposit this week.

Well we generally drive down, but since we have limited time, we've started to consider flying. Dreams unlimited doesn't do anything for airfare... So this leads me to utter confusion!

Are there packages currently available for November? Do packages even have airfare in them or is it just room/tickets? Obviously with six flights it'll be expensive... What sight gives the best rates?

We've been driving down for the last few years so I feel totally out of my element here. Generally we book our room, hop in the car and go:hyper: I was hoping packaging things together would make it more cost effective, but since they can't do flights...

Any advice?

I think and I am not sure if you call 1-407-824-4321 They do airfare too, again I am not sure, I get airfare on my own. I am going in November and for 2 adults the fare is $230 and change. I hope this helped you and let us know how you make out. :D

They can do airfare, but it is strictly through the Walt Disney Travel Company, which doesn't always provide the most economical airfare. You'd also lose the favorable room-only cancellation and deposit policies.

You can probably do MUCH better on your own. I would check on either Orbitz, or download the tool at www.sidestep.com to get your airfare.

The airfare deal you can snag is dependent on your departure city. ATA, Southwest, Spirit, Song, and many of the other discount airlines are often the best rates. Being flexible on travel dates/times often makes a big difference. Keep in mind that sites like Orbitz and Travelocity often can cost more than booking directly with the airline. I got tickets from Chicago Ohare to MCO RT for $158 each. Do your homework and you might get a pretty good airfare deal. Start by going to your local airport's website. Find out EVERY airline that flies out of there. Price a ticket using the day you want to leave, the day after, the day before, etc. and and see if you can find a deal. There is a whole travel forum here on the DIS, and the people there will be able to give you some good advice as well. princess:

We've found that the cheapest option is to buy our airfare online and do our resort as a room only reservation either through Dreams or CRO. Anytime I've ever checked flights with a travel agent or disney they're never as good as what I can find online. We usually use Southwest or ATA.

Depending on where you're coming from, try JetBlue. I'm from NY Metro area and went directly to the websites of discount airlines available to me: JetBlue, Spirit, Song, Ted. I found better fares on the airline sites than through Travelocity, Orbitz, etc., and better fares through websites than from calling airlines directly. I guess when you deal with an actual person, they charge more.

I found the best fare from Spirit from LGA direct to MCO for 167 pp including taxes and fees! Now I can upgrade my hotel!;)

If you haven't already, check out the "budget board" on this site. It's been very helpful for me. Happy planning!:D
