Yep, she's 19!
She moved across the country so I didn't go but I saw on FB all about it.

I cannot believe she's MARRIED!
It got me thinking, what age do you think is appropriate to get married at.
Obviously it's just an opinion, there's not right answer I'm just wondering what everyone thinks.

I'm going to be 20 in 3 months, and my gramma told me that she was married at 20! And I can't even IMAGINE that! As much as I love my BF and would LOVE to marry him I don't feel like we're ready at all. My mom always tells me she'd freak on me if I wanted to get married now.

So what do you guys think is an appropriate age to get married? What do you think the earliest you would get married is? And how old were your parents/grandparents when they got married?
Just curious, let's discuss MARRIAGE! :scared1:

It's appropriate when both are ready, emotionally and financially.

I want to get married at age 28 -30, when I am finished with med school. I don't want to be studying while I am married because I want to fully enjoy my husband, if that makes any sense. And kids at 32, so i can have him a full 4 yers for myself. haha

My mom got married at 22. My grandma got married at 15.

I agree. :thumbsup2

My grandparent's got married when my grandma was 19 and my grandpa was 20, and they had my mom a year later. xD My parents got married when my mom was 23 I believe, and my dad was 24.

ITA with Jaimie.
Personally, my ideal age to get married is early to mid twenties. But, y'know how life goes, nothing ever happens the way you want it too.

Wow!

I don't think there is a particular age that is the right time to get married. Its different for everyone.

I think my parents were mid to late 20's when they got married.
I will get married when I'm ready, I think 23 (kinda random) would be the earliest.

I don't think there's an appropriate time to get married, but I will say, anything before 20 is a real risk.

I want to get married in my mid-twenties, once I'm done with college.

Well I guess whenever the couple is emotionally ready.
For me personally though I don't believe in marriage I think. Maybe someone will come along and change my mind though.

My grandma was 17 and one month, then she had my mom 2 weeks later....
I think my mom was 22 or so.

I couldn't begin to imagine. That's only a year older than I am.
The youngest I'd probably get married is 24.

But I think it's different for everyone.

It's different for everyone. Just whenever you find your soul mate, the love of your life, and your ready to fully commit. It can be 18 for some, and 40 for others.

Side note, my grandma was married and pregnant at 16! It was totally the norm back then. I can't imagine.

ITA.
My mom was married at 23, I think, she ended up divorced a couple years later.

I want to get married before I'm 30, but after I'm finished with college and traveling and got a secure job so I can support myself without my husbands help.

I have no clue how old my grandma was hen she got married, I think she was 18 but I could be wrong.
My mom was 21 & my dad was 23 when they got married, and 22 & 24 when I was born. lol

It depends on the person.

My mom got married the first time when she was 19. That husband left her.

She got married the second time (to my dad) when she was I think 27.

My grandparents were just out of high school I think when they got married.

One of my friends was 19 when she was married. She's 20 now, still married and has a little boy to look after.

My mom was 20 when she got married.

Personally, I can't even imagine getting married that young. I want to be able to get through college, find a solid job and-most of all-have fun until I even THINK about settling down.

IDK, I just can't find it that far-fetched, getting married young I mean. I know that I want to have the majority of my kids by the time I'm 30. I don't want to be running around chasing little kids once I'm 40.
