We are coming to WDW for the first time Nov 7...we are a male 53 and female 51 and we have saved for 8 years for this trip...Disney has been a DREAM for me all my life...but...life got in the way...also son 24 and Girlfriend will be coming with us...maybe...just maybe we will be lucky enough to get a dream come true from Disney...to wax poetetically if I may...I used to watch "Wonderful World Of Disney" every Sunday as a child and young adult with dreams of going there some day...we are staying at CSR
All I can say is we have a count down going and CANNOT wait until Nov 7, 2007 at 5:30 am when we leave for WDW!!!!!:

Have a wonderful time! I'm so excited for you and your family - I hope it's everything you ever dreamed it would be. I hope you win a dream:wizard: but if not, remember you are living a 'dream' just being at WDW. Enjoy, and let us all know how it was when you get back!

Have a great time!!!!It's my favorite place on earth!
I hope you have an wonderful and magical time.

So glad you can make it! Let us know how your trip went when you get back!

That is great, RJO! :thumbsup2 :cool1: Make those first time memories that will be with you all forever, your dream come true.

that first trip is so special. I can still remember ours in 1977 and 39 trips later, it still gets better and better. We just returned from our 39th a couple of weeks ago and we're late 50's. My only directive on Disney, is to take it slow, stop everywhere and make a memory and let the magic overcome you. Enjoy all you can, see everything you can see and smell all the flowers around you. Memories stay with you forever and we still find out new things and always make a new happy place when we're there.

Glad to see you on the board.I hope you have a magical vacation at WDW.Folks on the Dis can give you tips on making that experience on being the best you can have.So ask questions and for tips if you are unsure on planning your trip.First trips are so special I am sure you will have a wonderful time.:goodvibes :goodvibes

Since it is your first time be sure to use these boards to plan your must see attractions. I highly recommend Illuminations at EPCOT, Wishes at MK, Fantasmic at MGM. My boss took her to kids 9 and 14 in June and they missed all of the fireworks. They only had 4 days but I think they missed out on alot. As far as rides - I have some must sees like at MK- Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan's Flight, Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Runaway Train, Space Mountain. EPCOT- Spaceship Earth, Soarin, Universe of Energy, Nemo, the Land, Test Track, Mexico's boat ride (I can hear the song now - la la la la la). AK - Kilamanjara Safari, Bug's Life, Dinosaur Ride, Rapids, Mt Everest. MGM - Great Movie Ride, Little Mermaid, Star Tours, Back Lot, Muppet Movie. Depending on crowds - you can certainly do more rides but these are the ones I always ride no matter what. I also highly recommend touring the deluxe resorts on the monorail and the WL (my favorite and a relaxing boat ride away from MK, since you're all adults consider dining at Artist Point at WL) as well as the resorts right outside of the back entrance to EPCOT. Have a wonderful trip and please do report back afterwards.

Have a great 1st trip! Might I suggest (strongly) if you haven't already done so, purchasing the latest copy of UG (Unofficial Guide to Disney World). Loaded with great tips and tricks to get the most out of your WDW trip while getting the least out of frustrating problem areas. My 1st and 2nd trip with no UG... 1 - 1 1/2 hour waits for Space Mountain. Next trip with UG... no wait, walked right on, rode, turned around and rode again. 'Nuff said? And as was previously mentioned, do take advantage of the DIS community... a goldmine of info second to none, if I do say so myself. :)

I'm so excited for you!!! DH and I are the exact same age as the two of you and I can guarantee from firsthand knowledge that the magic of Disney does not diminish as you grow older. Everyone else here has already given you great advice but I will add to it by saying that some of my most magical moments are watching other's children experience their first magic. So as you are walking around enjoying the sites, give a quick look around you and see those darling little faces having the same emotions as you!!!

I still get teary-eyed everytime I leave because there is no place I've ever been that has compared to the magic I find at the World every time I go.

Have the most magical experience of your lives!!!!
