Soo excited MR Kids sail free!!!

We have been on vacation the last week so I finaly get on the computer today while do laundry to see that they are doing kids sail free! I've been waiting for this! :cool1:

Only problem is, is we just booked the 2 night getaway cruise for Jan. and getting dh to agree to a March cruise is definitely going to be hard. I was looking more for an Oct cruise MR.

I've got a room on hold right now. It's so hard to pass up ksf when I've been waiting and waiting for this. :woohoo:

Wanted to add that I can't cancel the 2 night because my mom and dad and sis and her kids are all going. This will be their first cruise ever! It's kind of a try it out cruise.

Wanted to add,

That if we booked ONE Cat 4c, we would have to pay $935.00 more, and loose the $400 onboard credit. ( so technically $1335.00 more ).

Not sure if it's worth it. I've always wanted to try a veranda, especially with 3days at sea.....:scratchin

but I also like two rooms (with three boys the extra washroom and TV are such a bonus!). We have been upgraded twice to a Cat #9 from a 12, so not sure if I should change to a veranda or not.
roll the dice and stay with a Cat 11c......hmmmm

Sorry... off topic but wanted to share.
I was on a MR cruise the last week of April. Our itinerary was reversed, with one sea day in the beginning and two at the end. The last two sea days were so windy and chilly that very few people were out on deck. I imagine it would be even chillier for a MR cruise during the dates KSF is in effect. If it were me, I wouldn't pay $1335 more for a balcony that may be too cold to use, except while the ship is in port.

I'm just :sad2: that the 3/27 cruise is not included. I would have added it in a heartbeat, even if that would have made 3 DCL cruises in less that a year! I have some friends who have said, "You know, there are other places to go on vacation". Yes, but why???

I would call to make sure it is all in place. This should not be a big deal at all.

I got pulled into some work, so I quickly sent an email via their Contact Us link. Just got back and already found a reply that the deal has been added to our reservation. Just saved some major moola! :woohoo:

Ahhh, good point!
Never thought about the weather. What a bummer it would be if it was raining too.
DH says stick with what we got.

This is definitely not always the case. DH and I went on a MR cruise in 2007 the second week of February and it was HOT the entire time. My parents went in March the year before that and it was 70-80 during their cruise as well. We did a snorkel tour in Cabo and the water was pleasant, not cold at all.

But we're from the Northwest, where 70-80 is ideally hot for us!

The ports were hot when I cruised, too - but the sea days were very windy (too windy to spend much time outside) - especially on the return trip to LA.

I am debating! Right now I am booked on the Dream for Oct 2011. I can take a 7 day cruise vs a 4 day cruise for about the same price. The cons. It's on the Wonder and I want to see the Dream. Also we were going to stay at WDW before we left on the Dream. I suppose we could go to Disneyland but it's not the same in my opinion. Also tips would be more but airfare is about the same. We would also have to find somewhere to stay in LA. And as the PP said there is no Castaway! Booking is through July 31st 2010. Uggg! Decisions Decisions!

We are having the same dliemna - we are booked on the 4-night Dream for March 27th. I have the 7night MR on hold for Feb 27th. The cost for the cruise is a little less for the 7 night than the 4night. Oh what to do - I want to see the new ship, but I want to cruise 7 nights. I really hate the thought of not going to CC, but I really don;t want to go to Nassau again. I'd rather cruise in March than February - less chance of snowstorms here and travel problems. Just can't decide - I have thil Tuesday to make up my mind!!

I am wondering if they will just transfer the money that I have paid on my Dream cruise to the new MR if we go that route or we have to wait for a refund to our Visa? I couldn't believe the price:banana: The only thing we are unsure of is how much it costs to stay in LA and transportation to the port. If we would go there we want to go to the San Diego Zoo or visit Hollywood.
We were planning on staying on the ship during Nassau too! We had a huge snowstorm here in March about 2 years ago when we were down at WDW. Here in WI we can have snow as far as April:scared1:
