Has anyone done the Thursday Wine Pairing Dinner at Sonyas at Vero Beach? How was it? What was the menu? How much did it cost? Is there a kids menu?

Thanks!

Debra

It's been a while, but I don't recall much of a kids menu - however, I'm pretty sure they would let the kids order off of the shutters menu (which has a kids menu section), since it's the same kitchen.

A Wine Pairing Dinner at Vero Beach! Sounds like one more reason I need to check out Vero Beach. Does anyone have any details on the dinner? Cost, type of food, etc.
As new DVC owners (BCV), we're trying to learn as much as possible about the various places we might like to stay.
Vero Beach definitely sounds like one of them and we plan to drive over and check it out when we're at WDW the first week of May.:)

Sonya's is somewhat pricey - not V&A's pricey, but certainly upscale. Entree's for dinner start around $18-$20 and go up from there. They do have a very nice Sunday brunch.

There are a large number of very good places to eat near Vero - they have a book with menu's from all the local places kept near the front desk.

Does anyone have any additional information on this dinner? We are going in two months and would love to try this. Thanks for your help.

I found Deb Will site does have the VB menus. They are at:

http://www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm#vero

The wine pairing dinner is only $40. The menu is from last June, has anyone been there recently?

I hope it's okay to copy it from Deb's site - but here is the menu she lists:

Choice of Appetizer
Sesame Tuna Thumbprints
Cucumber Noodles
Roasted Vegetables with Chevre
Kendall Jackson Riesling

Intermezzo
Ruby Red Grapefuit Sorbet

Choice of Entree
Pancetta Wrapped Breast of Guinea Hen with
Green Apples and Savoy Cabbage
Red Potatoes Whipped with Sage Oil

or

Mustard Crusted Salmon, Buerre Rouge
Sweet Potato Leek Hash, Cauliflowerin Cream
Robert Mondavi Coastal Merlot

Dessert
Pistachio-Bittersweet Chocolate Terrine
with Brandied Cherries
Sandeman Founders Reserve Port

Sounds delicious! Being a new DVC owner and never having stayed away from WDW, I'm not sure of the procedure for making ressies outside of the world. Can we make ressies through WDWDine or MS, or do I need to call the restuarants directly when making ressies outside of WDW. Thanks for all the great info.

You have to call VB directly, one of the options on the menu is for PS. You can only make them 30days in advance for both the restaurants.

Still looking for any input from someone that's done the wine pairing!
