Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 & Memory Card Issue- please help

I just received a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 yesterday. I also got a 512mb SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo (supposed to be compatible). I have the camera set to take pictures utilizing the full 6mp capability. I am only getting about 10 photos and then it tells me the memory card is full. I know this cannot be right. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for your help!

I think that this camera also has an internal memory for about that many shots? Check your manual .....

Yes..you are correct. It does have internal memory (very little). I have a few photos on the internal memory already. This problem is with the memory stick. The memory stick has about 10 photos on it, but then my camera displays that "No memory space in Memory Stick". I'm wondering if the memory stick is corrupt....but then would it be able to hold any files at all?

If you format your stick on your computer it could be corrupt.
Try to format it from the utility on the main menu of your camera. After that set the display to show how many pics can be taken on the stick!

AHA! That did it!

I formatted the memory stick using the camera's utilities and now it shows that I should get about 165 photos. That seems about right. Thank you so much for your help!!!
