Is the eye blood red or pinkish tinge? Is it a spot on the eye or covering the entire thing? Is it bloodshot looking? Is it tender to the touch- the eyelid, not eyeball? Is the lid swollen? Do you see it on the other eye starting to form? Really you need to have answers to these questions and call your Ophthomologist. I work for one and if it is pink eye you don't want to let it go the entire weekend. It could be allergies- now is the time they are bad. They will probably want to start an antibiotic drop now if they don't feel the need to see him just to be safe!!!
I am not sure I would go to the ER tonight or anything, but I would call your docs answering service and get them paged to call in a drop before the pharmacies close!
