We will be in disney on my son's 1st birthday.

What are some neat idea's to do that day? What have you done? I really want to make it special.

It's also the first time we will be there as a family. My other children are 2 year old twin boys and 4 year old twin girls.

My son's first birthday won't be in Disney but I can try and help you out since nobody has responded.

Since your little guy won't really know what all the fuss is about, incorporate things he will understand and love like balloons and smashing into a cake for the first time. You can special order cakes/desserts at certain places in WDW...I believe the Cinderella's Royal Table you can set up some kind of birthday surprise and the bakery at Boardwalk makes special order cakes. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!) Mention his birthday wherever you go and you never know what he may get surprised with. We mentioned to our hotel that it was our anniversary and when we got to our room there was a balloon and a signed picture of cinderella and prince charming...so I'm sure they may do something for a birthday. There are all sorts of little things WDW has up it's sleeve. When DS was there for the first time in Oct a cast member asked if it was his first trip and when we said yes he pulled a pin out of his pocket that said "First Trip to Disney"

Hope this is a little helpful!

We're celebrating our DD's 1st bday there next month!!!

We have ADRs at Crystal Palace on her bday for breakfast and Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. I'm going to call and special order a cake for dinner.

Also, I'm really in to photography, so to commemorate the day, I'm hoping to be able to bring a cupcake into the park for our early ADR (8:05am) to Crystal Palace and get a picture of Allie smashing it in her face in front of the Castle. I thought since we'll get there early enough that the park won't be officially open, there won't be a lot of crowds in the background of the picture. I just hope that they'll let me bring in a cupcake in from outside.

My parents think its silly that we're taking her for her 1st bday because she won't remember any of it. As I told them, she wouldn't remember a party at home either.....we do it for our memories as much as for her.
