"Confrontation" from the 10th anniversary concert version of the musical "Les Miserables".

After his life is changed by a kind act from a bishop, embittered convict Jean Valjean (Colm Wilkinson) decides to break parole and try to live a better life. Living under an alias as the mayor of a small French town, he promises to take care of the daughter of the dying prostitute Fantine. In this scene following Fantine's death, Valjean's nemesis Javert (Phillip Quast) who has discovered Valjean's real identity, shows up to haul him back to jail.
