Songs That I'm Really Hating Today!

In my office, I can only get one radio station. It is the one my DD (14) loves. I don't usually mind it, but when you hear it for 8 hours and you hear all the "repeats" it is annoying.

But two songs are just really getting to me--especially today. Don't even know what they're called, but it is the newest one by Eminem. OMG. It is so grating--I just had to turn my radio off. Then, there is the most recent one by Beyonce that sounds just like some high-pitched chant for 4 minutes. Uuugggh. I usually like Beyonce.

So, what songs are driving you nuts?

Ah, well, Janet Jackson and Shaggy just came on with "Mr. Lover."!

Is it Eminem's 'Shake That' with Nate Dogg. That is an amazing song. BUT it saddens me that they had to make it so vulgar. I could take an hour and rewrite it so it wasn't so nasty and it would still be a hit. The hook is killer but the rap is nasty.

The 2 that annoy me to no end are Grillz and Laffy Taffy. I'm still shocked that someone thought 'grills' were a good topic for a song and "laffy taffy" just doesn't make sense.

I wish hip hop artists would stop trying to come up with cute/edgy euphemisms. At least 2LiveCrew, while completely vulgar, didn't make up cutsy phrases they just came out and said it.

Don't know what it is but we aren't allowed to do any computer "streaming" of music, nor are we allowed to have headphones (iPod, etc).

We usually have country on at work. The song that annoys me right now is Who you'd be today by Kenny Chesney. Although I think it is a pretty song, I can't STAND the end when he keeps saying today, todaay, todaaay, todaaaay. I just want to throw the radio. I can't stand any song that keeps repeating a verse over and over and over anyway. Another reason why I hate the song Ready to Run by the Dixie Chicks.

The only thing worse is the "My Humps" remix--YUCK.

But, seriously, I gotta give "My Humps" a bit of slack. I saw the Black Eyed Peas in concert last year and they were VERY good. So, every time I hear "My Humps", I have some good memories.

It might be Mocking Bird by Eminem. "hush little baby, don't you cry, everything's gonna be alright" does it start like that?

I HATE Laffy Taffy. That is the dumbest song.

I love photograph though. Its not played very much around here. But I like alot of Nickelback's stuff.

My Humps was big around here for about a week. Not heard much of it since.

The new Beyonce one is "Check on It." IT'S BEEN STUCK IN MY HEAD AND WILL NOT LEAVE!

And for the record the last line of the chorus, I looked it up, is "dip it, pop it, twork it, stop it, check on me tonight."

What "twork it" means is beyond me.

Lovely Lady Lumps! I think that song is hysterical, but so annoying! The first time I saw the video I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be serious or not.

DD & I are big country western fans and when we took our mother/daughter vacation over to Cape Cod we could only find one CW station that would come in clear.. If they played this song once, they played it 500 times a day - "The Watermelon Crawl"..

That trip was over 10 years ago and we still CRINGE every time we hear it.. Sheesh - great way to KILL an otherwise good song, huh?

OMG! I completely agree with you on the Grillz song. Laffy Taffy I could take or leave but every time I hear "Smile for me daddy...Let me see your grill" I want to throw up!
