Song on the new 7 Up Commercial

Has anyone heard the new 7 UP commercial? There's a song on it; something about having the sunshine in your hand.

Is that David Cassidy and the Partridge Family singing the song? I swear it sounds exactly like them, but I don't think I've ever heard them sing that song.

Anyone know for sure?

Yes its David! I'm friends with a gal who up until a couple years ago was his personal assistant, we use to have so much fun in Vegas when he was in EFX. She was just out here for another friends wedding and said David was not happy with the comercial as he wasn't getting any royalties from it. Had bad contracts back in his PF days.

I can't believe I recognized them -- I haven't heard The Partridge Family in years!! How truly scary for me to have such an excellent long term memory, but be unable to recall something that happened last week. Me, getting old?? Never!!

I can't believe that they are using David Cassidy's voice without paying him any fee. He doesn't get any residuals from The Partridge Family? How sad! I guess performers are much more savvy about their contracts today.
