I booked our January flights (9th and 18th) in August for 200.00 RT. Thank God I did. I check them on an almost daily basis just out of curiosity. Today these same flights have gone up to 322.00!!:( I am very surprised as I thought Jan. was a really slow month for DW. But our flights our 75% booked from Boston. Maybe when they reach a certain number of people, they jack the price up, who knows  . I'm a happy camper though!

Yes, after a certain number of seats are sold (varies with each individual flight) the fare goes up. Almost all airlines do this and their reservation systems usually do it automatically.

From time to time more seats might added to cheaper categories or allotments.

On the other hand, for a few flights, the fare doubled and fewer than a quarter of the seats wer sold.

Sometimes the system is so sensitive that if there is one cheap seat remaining and you try to book two at once, you are quoted the higher fare.

WOW! We just booked our January flights last Thurs, and are at $192 pp/RT. I'm so glad I jumped on when I did.

Now, if I could just find ANYTHING under $400RT to Ft. Meyers or Tampa for February break.

Debbie, what did your flights go up to? Is 192.00 what you originally paid last week? I was psyched when I saw this this morning, but not happy for anyone waiting till now to book. It pays to plan ahead. I've never been one to wait till a few months in advance. Good for us!

Seashore CM, I didn't know this was automatically done. I thought there was a bunch of people in suits around a huge table trying to negotiate these higher fees :p , who knew? thanks for the insight.

People can still purchase Song flights on those days (1/9 & 1/18) for $190 RT, however this fare is for the least popular flights (last flight out of BOS, first flight out of MCO).

Jillpie, I'm assuming however that you are on the first flight out of BOS, and the last flight out of MCO. These are the two most popular Song flights between BOS/MCO and are filling up. It's a good thing you booked when you did as it is unlikely that the fares for these two particular flights will go down from here.

jillpie--my flights last week were at 192. The morbid curiosity got the best of me, so I just tried to re-price them, and they have all dropped $7 per ticket ($3.50 each way). We are actually on the unpopular flight out on a Saturday (DH has to work the day we leave) and we are on the middle flight coming home (since we all have to get back to school/work the next day).

We are flying the 17th and the 26th if anyone is looking for those dates.

Deb, good for you, I hope you got your vouchers.

Alex, you sort of have it right. We're on the 3:00 pm flight out of Boston and the 4:30 returning from Orlando. I just can't believe how much its gone up since I booked, I'm so glad.
