Hi all,
My son plans on asking his girlfriend in front of the castle in september. I will be there, I plan on going first to the photopass guy and telling him/her, so that then he will be prepared. Can anyone else think of anything that would be neat?

Thanks!

I can't think of anything more exciting than the event itself but I was wondering if he will be doing this just before Wishes begins?

For sure I've got some suggestions!!! My brother is getting engaged on the way down to Disney on the train (his girlfriend doesn't fly, and he didn't want to get engaged IN Disney because his best friend did and he didn't want to seem like he was copying him), so I've got some ideas about what WE are doing for our trip in a week!

1- I bought the Disney "Just Engaged" buttons on ebay- some people report that they're able to get them still at some places, but I didn't want to take any chances (because I'm ACTUALLY insane).

2- Where are you all having dinner that night? For one night during our trip I just ordered a fancy, fondant covered cake for them and I'm REALLY excited about that surprise!

3- For ALL of our ADR's, I made a note that we were celebrating their engagement.

Enjoy this! And congratulations to your son!

Congrats to you and your family. My son isn't close to engagement, but I want to keep this thread on the hopes he'll propose in Disney!! The suggestions listed above are awesome. I hope you get even more ideas.

I think a proposal in front the castle will be amazing!!!! Congrats to your son!!!

the last time I was in MK, my mom and I happened to walking down main st. just as a man proposed to his girlfriend, it was so neat, I teared up and everyone clapped, it was great! so exciting!

We got to witness an engagement in Epcot last year. It was in front of the Photopass person at the fountains in France. She was so surprised! Her parents and friends were watching and everyone around clapped. I think (and hope) that the Photopass guy was able to get some good pics of them.
:goodvibes
