Sometimes when you think that God just isn't there for you....

God does work in mysterious ways. I'm glad he was there for you when you needed him most.

The power of prayer is truly awesome. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

I absolutely believe in the power of prayer and I know God will continue to watch over Maddy. Thank you for sharing your story.

well that right there proves there IS a God ! ;)

On a more serious note, I want to thank you, Steph for sharing that wonderful story. :)

Your little Maddie is so beautiful and I think it is wonderful she called you just when you needed it the most. Think positive and keep the faith. God will help make you stronger and see you thru. Believe that Maddie's guardian angel will watch over her ^i^

I definately believe it was God's doing too. And I'm not particularly religious. Sometimes those little "coincidences" make us stop and think of a higher power, for sure.

I do think its sick that your ex and his girlfriend are manipulating her and telling her to hang up the phone on her mother. What is wrong with people???? I don't get how people use their kids as pawns to get back at their former spouse, its terrible. :(

I'm glad your daughter got in touch with you. :) May she continue to be watched over and kept safe. :)

Snoopy's post said it all.

Thanks for sharing a wonderful story about God's love. He was showing you His love and giving you peace of mind at the same time because He knew you were concerned about your DD. You were smart enough to recognize Him touching your life last night.

I, too, will keep your little DD, Maddy, in my prayers.

Steph I think that is an awesome story. Its great to have faith in God and be able to open about it some since some feel the need to try to drag you down by being sarcastic
I believe he is watching out for you and your dd as well. Keep praying and believing :D

I'm glad she called you Steph. I hope that you can both see this through and that your ex and his gf stop their ridiculous interference.

A hurting mother needed to hear that her daughter DID indeed love her.

Beautiful story Steph.

I'm so sorry your going through this, that you ex can't love his child enough to allow her the freedom of a relationship with her mother.

Miss Maddy is a doll! She wanted to talk to HER mommy.

I will keep you in my prayers also.

I PM'ed you.

That's a really nice story Steph.

I hope Maddie learns how to use that number often. :)

Sometimes those little "coincidences" make us stop and think of a higher power, for sure.

My FIL refers to them as "holy nudges"...not an out and out "Hey, it's me, God", but rather a little something that gently prods or pushes us to do something that turns out to be fortuitous in some way.

I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time. Nice story.:D The power of prayer can really help heal your heart.

I, too, believe God was helping you out that night. :) You and little Maddy.

Wonderful story..and I'm not religious at all but I do believe that when you ask for something, the powers that be will often give you what you soul needs to get you through tough times...

Does your daughter live with you and is visiting you ex or does she live with him.. sorry to ask but I don't know the background....

Good for you. My DD is 4 and I understand the capabilities of a 3 year old. Perhaps your phone number was a single key shortcut on your ex's phone. There are so many other explanations than "God did this". And no, I was not being sarcastic. I am just not religiously blinded.

don't you just love people who can't accept a miracle for what it is and feel they have to explain it away as being anything but the direct hand of God working in someone's life?

Props to you Steph. Thanks for sharing "Maddy's Miracle" with us.

 Stephanie thanks for sharing your story. I too believe that prayer works.

The power of prayer is an awesome thing. I'm so glad you were able to talk to your DD. Thanks for sharing a wonderful story. :)

Wow, Steph - what a heartwarming story :)

I can understand how you feel because I have been on the receiving end of what AFR called a "holy nudge" at a time when things looked so bleak I was considering seriously why I continued my existance. I did something I had never done before in my life - prayed. What happened in the week following was very very unbelievable and unexplainable.

I haven't told many people the story because I am worried of the sarcasm put forth like you had here. It so cheapens what has made your heart so happy.

People, why can't we all just hit the back button and keep our mouths and fingers shut when someone is celebrating something you don't agree on? Why must you feel compelled to rain on someone's parade? Especially when the op said it was not a religious debate. Do you get some weird satisfaction from it? It really is sad. You know, people may not think they are being hurtful but sometimes the most hurtful things do not contain swear words or threats.

Stephanie  - no matter HOW it happened, you have a special little girl there :)
