Sometimes this really ticks me off!

Be thankful that your filling out one for someone else and not needing one filled out for yourself.
We had to get food stamps one time in 36 years of marriage I thought my husband was going to die, because he was so ashamed.

He got hurt at work and had no pay coming in at all, and they told us it would take him at least two months before he would get check from workers compensation, and it took longer tthan two months he was back to work before he got his check.

I thank all of you that helped feed my family for the two months it took my husband to get back on his feet, we had three children at the time, and my husband couldnt walk to the bathroom without being in pain.

Thank god it was the one and only time we needed help.

Not sure if this is still the case, because this was several years ago, but it is (guess I should say was, because not sure about the present )possible for someone with a nice home, car, etc. to show up in a store with WIC. The mom of a friend of mine received WIC for many years. Why? She took in foster children, in addition to raising seven kids of her own, and the foster children were eligible for WIC. I know foster children in our state still automatically qualify for free lunches. Just wanted to point out that there are some instances that may look like the people using the benefits do not need them, but the circumstances are not what they appear. BTW, the children placed with this family were blessed. Mrs. C. was a wonderful person.
