Yesterday afternoon, a very stressful thing happened. I told DH, I need to go walk. (this walk was planned)

I ended up walking 5 miles in 74 minutes.

The first two minutes were in 24 minutes.

That was excellent for me. I just started walking three weeks ago.

Afterwards, I was sooo tired, I could not be upset. Although the problem did not go away, I did feel a little better.

Now if I could only walk everytime I had stress.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Sorry you were stressed out, but that is excellent!! Good for you!! :):)

Good for you! What a positive way to deal with a negative situation. Excellent! When I get upset I want to eat but you went and walked.

You know what? I think you are internalizing these great new habits you've been trying to acquire. You are doing very well at it, too. Are you beaming with pride? You sure should be, I'm beaming with proud for you!

I have just recently found out that exercise is a great stress reliever. I play soccer on Friday nights and get out all my stress and frustrations for the week then!! I FEEL GREAT!!!

I am super proud of you! You turned to exercise and not food when you were stressed out. Wow! It is easy to turn to food in times of stress, and I feel even worse after eating when I am down about something. Even though exercise, or something else, may not make the problem magically disappear you still did something healthy for yourself and your body, instead of stuffing it with food. You burned up a bunch of calories, strengthened your bones, breathed in lots of oxygen, and moved your body!!
