Sometimes it really hits me why I love my DH...

Sometimes it hits me square in the face why I love my DH so much. He just came back from his morning bicycle ride along our irrigation canal ( a huge canal with siphons that is the equivalent of a very large moving, deep river). He ran across another man who was trying to lasso and remove a herd of deer who had entered the canal to cross it and had gotten stuck (flinty little hooves can't get a purchase on the slick/slimey steep sloped concrete). DH raced home, rummaged around in my barn for a suitable rope and headed off to help. The other gentleman had rescued two prior to his getting back - but there were still 5 in the canal.

I hope they are successful. But the fact that my DH cares and acts - confirms why I love him so much.

DH took 3 11 year old boys to the red sox game...That's why i love him...doing this is WAAAAY out of his comfort zone.

Well... not such a great update. By the time DH got back to the site - only 2 were remaining. They managed to get those two out.

He is tops in my books. He loves cats, dogs, and will go out of his way to look after others (no matter what species they are). Sometimes I lose sight of that when he does things that are not so wonderful... but at heart he is a kind and gentle human being.

Sure sounds like you have a wonderful DH. Isn't it great when you can look at DH and think "he is so very special. I love him so much and I am so proud of him"?
