...that I could just pay someone to make my dorm room look really cool. I love all the dorm stuff they have out, but I feel like I buy stuff and then it either doesnt fit or I just don't use it. Plus it would be alot easier if you could see what your room looks like, that way I would know what to buy and what not to buy.

That's so true....my friends and I are renting a house next year, and decorating is going to be a HUGE project I think....I can't even decide what color duvet I want, haha.

There are a few resources on dorm decorating tips. Do a google search and I'm sure you'll find some examples.

Recently, I finished a photo mosiac jigsaw puzzle of mickey mouse composed of different scenes from Disney movies and I bought a frame. All I need to do is glue the puzzle down and I have a nice wall hanging. My RA freshman year decorated his room with a border of webcam pictures he took of people who visited his room.

I read somewhere the key to decorating is have one piece of furniture you really like and base the entire room off of it; matching patterns, colors, and styles. Something I plan on doing is to bring in some lighting fixtures so I won't have to use the harsh flourescent overhead lights in the room.
