I am new as an AP holder, yet I am almost afraid to call and ask if there is an AP rate until I see it posted here. You never know who is "having a bad day", etc. I just don't want the hassle. But when I think more about it, I can not understand why the CRO CMs get upset(hopefully it is rarely) since this is the way Disney decided to release rates, not us!!!!! Another thing I don't understand is why do WE have to know the code???? When I first bought my pass, I assumed that one could call and ask for the AP rate. Now I know that depending on which CM answers the phone will determine if they actually looked for the code. I second the motion that Disney put their reservations and discounts etc online and allow us to make our own reservations. I hate second guessing the CM, but sometimes you just get this funny feeling when you are talking with them that they just don't want to check or may not know how? I have talked to some very friendly and helpful CM's don't get me wrong, but why do I sometimes feel as if I am an annoyance when all I want is to stay at their beautiful resort? Enough said, back to waiting for November codes!! A little off the subject-I am going to the Poly from 8/22 - 8/25 and I am afraid they may release the codes during this time. Does anyone know if there is computer available at the resorts that I can check the internet- I do not have my own to bring with? Or do I have to buck up and call like the rest? Oh no? Thanks for any info.

Hi. I am only responding to one tiny part of your post but I just wanted to say that all I have ever asked when calling CRO is whether there were any Passholder rates available for the my dates. I have never given a code and they've never asked. It will be fine. I would not worry about calling every morning. Just check Mousesavers.com "religiously" and call once you know the codes are out. Good luck!

I figure that I'll check this board and/or Mousesavers several times a day and then call once those rates come out. I did call CRO last night to find out availability for our dates. When the CM asked me if we'd need park passes I told him that we wouldn't because I have an AP. He volunteered that the AP rates are not out yet for October and told me that when they came out that they should be the cheapest rates (nothing that I didn't already know, but he was very nice and didn't mind discussing it). He also checked to make sure that I hadn't gotten the PIN e-mail or postcard, checked my old address, my different names (I legally have a hyphenated last name, but he also checked my married name and my DH name). He tried his best and was very polite--I was a little leary after reading the thread about the rude CM.

I don't have an AP but I can certainly understand you wanting to get those rates for October. We're also going in October and I would be pulling my hair out if I didn't have my reservations yet. Why is Disney being so stingy with the AP rates?! Jeez, since you've paid so much money for those passes you should be able to call a couple months in advance to get the rates without any problem. I don't see why they won't give them out.

While there is no reason for a CM to be rude when some one calls, I think that we have to remember that just because we buy the APs does not guarantee that there will be discounts for the rooms.
The booklet that holds the AP states" A limited number of Passholder rates may be offered periodically at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels and select Disney Vacation Club Resorts." I think the key words here are MAY BE OFFERED.
I think that they get a lot of calls from people who feel that they are due a discount because they have an AP.
I got a good AP rate for my trip in June and I am hoping that I'll gate a good rate for my December stay. The only thing I can count on is that I have my admission to the parks and that is good for a year.
