I get along well with Canadians, no big deal, but Im just so USA I wouldn't think that, but when you post you often have a number of people you post with, and I see so many of them are Canadian it surprised me

I find this hilarious. The house I grew up in was about 3 miles from the Canadian border. I didn't know anyone growing up who thought of Canadians as being anything different from Michiganders. Now, folks from Ohio? Those guys we have a problem with.

That's funny, I never thought of Canadians as anything but the same as Americans. Just more north than us. Then we visited Halifax on a cruise, and toured with a lovely Canadian man, and I realized they're the nicest people on the planet! Not that Americans aren't nice, but we're a mixed bag. All the Canadians we met (and have met since) are just the nicest people ever!

I have learned I seem more relaxed in my vacation style than a lot of people. While I will do research no matter where I go just so I know what's there, I rarely plan things other than hotel and length of stay and don't get upset if things don't go my way.

that other people travel way more than we do, even though I thought we travelled a good amount. This has helped me deal with dh being like "another trip????". I can say "the people on the Dis travel way more than us!"

We live in a tourist town and get a lot of terrible drivers. It's funny, we check the license plates and it's almost always Michigan drivers.

That I see weddings and funerals different than people from the east. I had never heard of paying for your plate or a funeral dinner with alcohol till the DIS.
