Something unexpected

So basically I am crazy. I agreed to got to Disney with my best friend, his wife and 1 year old. I also agreed to take my mom, sister in law and my nephews later this year. Of course my girlfriend is coming along too!

So that’s a little background as to what we are doing. I just called to book the trip with my nephews and got a wonderful cm. We had so much fun on the phone. She also looked into my reservation with my best friend coming up because honestly something did not feel right to me. She said I was right! The reservations were not linked together and our annual pass holder discount had not been applied. So she did this for me, saving almost another $400 off the hotel room and then said “you know what I am going to have them give you a $75 gift card at check in for dinning” I was actually taken back by this. I thought it was so nice. I then asked her if we could apply the discount to my friends room (because I actually booked them and paid the deposit) but she said that the rules were changed and you could only get one room discount instead of 3 with the annual pass. So I was bummed a little but then she said “ Well wait a minute, Valerie (my girlfriend) is also a pass holder too right?” I said yes. Then she said “ Well lets just make her room with the friends wife and baby and you room with your best friend and then each room can get the discount and I will put a $75 gift card on their room also”.

So now I have to room with a boy!!!!!! Oh the horror!! ( I know we don’t actually have to room together just book it that way but I thought it was pretty funny….and if Disney makes me well then I get a bed all to myself!!!!!!!)


I just thought it was the nicest thing. The $75 will start to cover my girlfriends quest to eat at ever stand at the Food and Wine festival so she is very happy. (Last time she did 18 in one day….and she tries everything….its kinda sick…. .)

I just never had any Cm give me anything at Disney so I was excited. So did you guys ever get anything from a cm that was unexpected?

I was treated like Royalty at Disneyland, and yes it's a great feeling!

The guys in the parking garage gave me a pass every morning to park up front.

The lady at the turnstyle who said "Welcome Home" to me as I gave her my ID to get into the park.

It was so nice!

But $75 at food and wine? Thats not going to get you very far! Have fun planning!

I usually take $100 in singles, and run out half way through! But darn it is fun!

I never thought about taking singles...thats a good idea and when the girlfriend runs out she runs out!!!!!!!

Last time we went with her mother, and they were taking notes at everyone, it was hysterical. i just went along and sampled the wine

Last year the guys in the land food court at epcot sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me free food. they were family and i wish i could remember their names but i was feeling no pain when we got their.

For certain dates, they are offering Cards good for use at Dining establishments when you book with an AP discount. I'm glad that you were able to get a little extra pixie dust! Have a great trip! Maggie
