Something strange we noticed about CR wing

The hall ceiling is way too low! DH is 6'2" and was almost brushing the top of his head on the 2nd floor ceiling! He actually had to duck or stepa round the emergency exit signs! I honestly don't recall it being that low before renovations! Our last stay prior to this had been tower so we haven't been in the wing (especially south one) in years. Too weird!

The wing ceilings have always been very low. I don't know why they did it that way, unless it had something to do with the modular construction when they were built. The ceilings in the rooms aren't that low, so it never made sense to me.
